Puppy love ❤️

Once again our day was blessed with more adorable puppies❤️
These sweethearts were in recently for their health checks. While they were with us they got their primary vaccination and microchip💉🩺

Microchipping is vital for helping missing pets get home. If your pet is found we can scan their microchip which has all your contact information registered to it which allows us to reunite you and your pet 💕💪

This lovely little fella was found wandering the Knockgriffin area today. He’s a very very happy un-neutered male Jack Russell with no microchip.

This is kimi, at first look you might not know what breed he is 🐶

Kimi is a Tatra Shepherd . The Tatra shepherd comes from the Tatra mountains in Poland ❄️
Originally bred to protect livestock from predators in mountainous regions, these gentle giants can weigh up to 60kg! 😲
Their thick double coat helps keep them warm and dry in harsh weather conditions 💨❄️
Not a very common breed here, but this handsome boy was a gentle giant during his visit. Safe to say our nurses were smitten and can’t wait to see him again ! 🥰❤️🐶

Even on mild days, the temperature inside a car can rise dangerously fast 🔥
Leaving a dog in a parked car even for a few minutes can be life threatening 🚫

Unlike humans, dogs can’t sweat through their skin, and they can overheat incredibly quickly so NEVER leave dogs in a car.⛔️

If you’re out and about, please make sure your pet stays safe, cool, and is never left alone in a vehicle.🐶

This super happy pup is Benny🐶
We think Benny was more interested in being obsessed over by the nurses than his health check.
He was the best boy in the house and definitely made the nurses day with how good he was 💕🐾

This cool dude is Frankie and at only 4 months old he is winning hearts all around.

Frankie was in for his first health check where he spent most of his time being cuddled by every member of staff ❤️

Frankie had so much fun with us he didn’t want to leave and had to be escorted to his car 🤣

We can’t wait to see how big he get at his next checkup ❤️🐶🩺

Meet Courtney our amazing hard working animal care assistant ❤️🐾
All the hard work that Courtney does doesn’t go unnoticed. Although Courtney works mainly behind the scenes she does so much for us that you may not know . Whether she’s helping at reception, providing care to our hospitalised patients, keeping the place clean and tidy, or tackling the countless behind the scenes tasks that keep the practice running smoothly❤️
Her hard work, compassion, and attention to detail make a real difference to our patients, our team, and our practice as a whole. We are incredibly grateful for everything she contributes and for the vital role she plays🥰🥇
We all know the whole building would fall apart without her. 🫶

This beautiful little girl is Dot🐾
She was in recently as she wasn’t feeling herself but after lots of cuddles and plenty of playing around she was back to feeling herself before the day was out 🐶
We are so lucky to have amazing patients like Dot who make our days a little bit better 💕😊
There’s no doubt vet Aisling’s day was made from Dots fantastic temperament. We can’t wait so see her again 🫶

While the air temperature might seem bearable, remember that the ground can be scorching hot for our furry friends’ paws🔥

Protecting your pet’s paws is key during the summer months. Opt for walks during cooler times of the day and stick to grassy areas where possible 😎
