💚 A Community Collaboration That Could Save Lives 💚

At Mallow Credit Union, we love supporting our community, but we're always looking for new ways to collaborate, share stories, and create meaningful conversations.

That's why we're delighted to team up with Mick O'Shea from Mallow to help raise awareness of the importance of organ donation. Mick's journey is one of courage, resilience, and inspiration, and we're honoured to help share his story with our members and the wider community.

Over the coming year, Mick will be joining me at a number of school talks, where students will have the opportunity to hear first-hand about the life-changing impact of organ donation. Personally, I can't wait to learn more about Mick's incredible journey and hear about his achievements on the international stage as he continues to proudly represent Ireland at the World Transplant Games.

Together, we hope to encourage important conversations and inspire more people to consider becoming organ donors.

Please join us in wishing Mick continued success as he represents Ireland around the world. 🇮🇪💚

Teagasc's mid year outlook lands a sobering number. Family farm income for 2026 is forecast to fall 38% to €33,600. Dairy takes the hardest hit, down 49% to around €78,000 after a record 2025. Milk and cattle prices are down while fuel and fertiliser costs are up.

After a bumper year, the sensible move is to budget for a leaner one. Do a cashflow plan and talk to your credit union before a squeeze arrives, not during one.

Cultivate offers farmer friendly finance through Mallow Credit Union. Chat to Lisa or find out more on our webpage

Remembering Dromcollogher 1926

On Saturday, 5th September, Dromcollogher will commemorate the anniversary of the Dromcollogher Cinema Disaster, one of the darkest days in the community’s history, when 48 lives were tragically lost on 5th September 1926.

To mark this important remembrance, a collection of beautiful commemorative pieces created locally by Irish Dresden is currently on display and available for purchase in the lobby of our Dromcollogher branch.

We are honoured to support the Dromcollogher ’26 Remembrance Committee and continue to be inspired by the dedication, care, and respect they bring to preserving the memory of those who were lost and ensuring their stories are never forgotten.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to visit the display and support this meaningful community initiative.

🎨✨ Mallow Arts Festival 2026 – That’s a Wrap! ✨🎨

What an incredible week of creativity, talent, and community spirit. The Mallow Arts Festival continues to grow bigger and better each year, and 2026 may well have been the best yet! From inspiring exhibitions to fantastic performances, there was a wonderful and diverse programme of events that had the town buzzing, especially on Saturday.

While there were so many highlights, our favourite has to be the wonderfully talented Shona Murphy. Not only is Shona an exceptional performer, she’s also a local talent and one of our valued members – so we’re proudly claiming her as one of our own! 🌟

As the song says, “Simply the Best.”

Thank you, Shona, for sharing your amazing talent and helping make this year’s festival so memorable. And thank you to everyone who contributed to another outstanding celebration of arts and culture in our community.

🎭🎶🎨❤️
