Phase #5: AWNY x Sian

At each step we looked, digested and added a piece which in turn sharpened the trajectory.
I began to work on digital prints, embroidery, both machine and hand, working to translate that conversation through textiles .

Phase #4:
By now the creative volleyball had compiled more than enough textural content to choose from.

We photographed everything, every piece, every brushstroke and the information fed the creative database.

Sian started to paint.
This was the original line drawing she used as a guide, but I saw this as perfect right away.
I’m glad we got this picture before she painted over it.

Phase #1: AWNY x Sian.

A few years ago in Limerick I asked Sian to respond to a painting, something I felt portrayed the path in which I wanted to go down when it came to mood, texture, colour and movement.

I wanted to start a conversation in the hopes of layering responses to create unique textiles.
