2026 is a Go!

I headed to Mondello early for the test day and some extra bike time. While the R6 went well, the R1 was really tough to settle down and unfortunately I had a small off.

Qualifying wasn't my best, I had a hard time keeping the R1's front wheel down.
This slowed me down, but I was able to qualify for the Pro race and break my personal best, which was a nice confidence boost.

Race 1 was tough but I learnt a lot, I still wasn't getting the power down like I wanted to and was riding around problems not riding the bike. With that I was delighted to have finished 4th in Cup, got points and had an idea of what had to be changed.

On Sunday I made some adjustments and Race 2 was a lot easier. While not perfect I got into the flow of things and beat my top speed from Race 1 considerably, even with it being a wet track. Finished 2nd in Cup which was amazing!

Race 3 was a lot harder with the drying track and wet tyres. I was fighting for 3rd in Cup for most of the race. This was by far the closest and most aggressive racing I've participated in. On the final lap after 8 laps of battling, I made a move that secured my 3rd in Cup.

Overall for the first weekend out, I'm absolutely over the moon and looking forward to the rest of the year.

A huge thank you to everyone who's hopped onboard for the year to help me live the dream it was a tough weekend on tyres and not possible without all of you.
