Just a thought while I walk through this forest - short but sweet, it hit a note with my noodles anyway;

"If you don't expect much, not a lot can go wrong. And what does? It'll all end up ok in the end : Compost."

This day last year my dog got killed in front of me, my caravan went up in flames while I was inside it and I lost a mother figure to su***de. Then more horrors happened which I won't go into. More and more loss was coming in waves - I spent last winter, spring and summer wondering what it was all about. What I have realised is that when your down and out and fu**ed and weary, you find out who your solids are. We don't need a lot of people in our lives, but the ones who are there to pick up the pieces when you haven't got the energy, they are to be cherished. And when you come out the other side with a help and hand to stand on your own two feet again, things look different. And we begin to grow from our pain and suffering. Don't be a victim, be your own hero. And be proud of the freak this hard life has made you. Your enough and your fu***ng alive.

I hope you all give one another loads of love and enter the new year with strength.

I just wanted to share some moments from the past month down the country. I feel so enchanted with the magic of the west and so so so greatful for all the friends I have made down this part of the world - it's my home now and I feel unbelievably greatful 🥹 I thought things were bad there for a while but when you keep the head up and don't loose hope things will open up and the sun shines through ☀️ thanks all the beautiful people for making life magical xooxoxox lots of love 💓 I hope your all entering this season with a smile and your hand on the heart ❤️ # # #

My last day with Patrick - gutted. But he's a wild animal and should be with his family.
He is going to a wildlife rehabilitator because his breathing has gotten worse and he's still not flying. I did what I could. He's definitely grown attached to me but he will get the meds he needs to recover with a vet. His spirits are high and he's not giving up. In two weeks I've learnt a lot from this magical creature. Life continues being as weird as ever 🤌🏼 fly on Patrick 🐦‍⬛🖤

Found a rook fledgling yesterday on the road, nearly got hit by a car so I hopped out and wrapped him in my scarf, went to supervalue, got a box, made him cosy.
He now lives in my hallway on a little roost I made him from hazel. He couldn't eat yesterday and had to be hand fed but today he is eating a boiled egg all on his own, and he's mad for the waaaatur. Gonna get him big and strong and see if his family wants him back.
He didn't take long to warm to me, had come on two walks with the dogs on my shoulder and when I left the house he started giving out 😂 got deep very quick!

Nelly & Heidi out galavanting about the land. And now a slightly less domesticated canine friend has arrived - Phyllis the foxy lady 🦊 she has been here all day ... Canine madness is upon me 🌾🛖

I got Nelly about a month and a half ago from a lovely fella out West here in Clare, a gorgeous pup, so smart. A month later, I was asked if I knew of anyone who would give a home to her mother as he was moving into a flat and they don't accept restricted breeds...I couldn't resist 😂 mother and daughter reunited this evening, I can't explain how gorgeous it is to see them and their love for one another. Heidi is a beaut, I love her already 🖤

Road kill 🙄 skinned a pine Martin there a month ago, a rug for my cat possibly? Or a headpiece for my woodswoman days....nearly dried out anyway, will post the finished pelt
