Delighted to welcome @jackkavanaghirl to Wellfest Ashbourne this Sunday 🎤 In 2012, Jack Kavanagh sustained a spinal cord injury that left him with just 15% muscle function. Since then, he has built a life centred on resilience, ambition and pushing boundaries. Jack is a TEDx speaker, award-winning documentary maker and founder of Move The Needle. He also serves on the board of the National Disability Authority and has worked with the World Health Organization on digital and assistive technologies. A passionate adventurer, Jack enjoys hand-cycling, sailing and sit-skiing. Last year, he cycled 380km along the Danube to raise funds for Spinal Injuries Ireland. We’re delighted to announce that Avril Greham will be our MC for the Disability Show 2026 at Knock Shrine on Thursday, 10 September.

Avril is a passionate Disabled Activist, Director of Avril Greham Training and Consultancy, and Founder of Expanding Horizons.

A strong advocate for inclusion, accessibility and disability awareness, Avril brings lived experience, energy and a real understanding of the issues that matter to the disability community.

Throughout the day, Avril will guide our programme of interviews, conversations and talks, introducing some fantastic speakers and giving a platform to important voices and experiences.
