Kenmare Rowing and Boating Club

Another week another regatta, this week it was the turn of our youngest crop of rowers (and the odd master or two!) getting their first taste of racing competition down at the Bantry sprints. Well done to Ríona, Riley, Maeve, Emer, Alex, Conor, Jacob and Rory on their races yesterday. We fielded across the board from J13 to J18 and each rower put in their best effort on the day.
Riley and Kate representing Castletownbere powered home to take gold in their double and Alex and Conor put in a fine performance to take silver in their race.
A special mention must go to Jane and Patricia who took part in the masters double and sailed past the finish line with ease in their first event together on the flat water.
Well done to all our athletes who took part yesterday!

Well done to Breanna and Marissa who took part in the Cork Head of River yesterday. The girls raced in the double together and Breanna raced in the j18 singles. In both events the girls raced really well and did a great job in the double for the first time. Well done to both girls!

Another date for your diary. Looking forward to a fun night at the Golf Course Clubhouse!

Congratulations to our own Jonah Kirby and of on receiving a recognition award from Rowing Ireland for their international medals in the double during 2025.
A well deserved award for such a landmark year for them both. Well done lads.
