KLAWS

🐾❤️ SOMEONE PLEASE TELL US WHY COMMODORE IS STILL WAITING?! ❤️🐾

At this point, we’re beginning to think Commodore has decided she rather likes being the resident pirate and has no intention of leaving us! 😂🏴‍☠️

But seriously… this girl deserves her forever home.

Commodore is an absolute little firecracker - funny, affectionate, confident, playful and full of personality. She is the kind of kitten who makes sure there is NEVER a dull moment in the house. 😹

She loves to play with absolutely everyone and everything. Humans? Excellent playmates. Cats? Fantastic. Other animals? Even better! Toys? Obviously. Exploring? Absolutely. 😂

She’s curious, adventurous and endlessly entertaining, so her ideal home will be one where she has plenty of things to do, toys to investigate, places to climb and people (or furry friends!) who are happy to join in with her adventures.

And when the batteries finally run out…

🥹 Commodore is a CUDDLER.

This little whirlwind will happily collapse onto your lap and purr herself to sleep. She loves being close to her humans and is a wonderful nighttime cuddle buddy. ❤️

So yes, she is playful.
Yes, she is feisty.
Yes, she is going to keep you entertained.
But she is also sweet, affectionate and incredibly lovable.

She happens to have limited vision in one eye, but honestly, it doesn’t define her at all. Her eye has healed extremely well and she gets on with life just like any other kitten. ❤️

Once she’s old enough and neutered, she can enjoy outdoor adventures too, or she can happily be an indoor girl in the right home with plenty of enrichment and companionship.

We honestly cannot understand how this wonderful little girl hasn’t found her people yet.

Maybe they’ve just not seen her post yet. 👀

So please help us change that!

🏡 Could Commodore be the fun, affectionate little companion you’ve been looking for?

🐾 Meet Leona & Lisa - two sisters who were clearly meant to be together! 🐾💕

Leona and Lisa arrived at a KLAWS volunteer’s door with their two siblings, Rory and Olivia, when they were just about 9 weeks old. Their lovely mama has now been spayed, and these little ones are ready for their forever adventures, ideally, together. 🥰

Two weeks in foster care have revealed Leona’s previously very well-hidden secret: she is one of the biggest fans of human cuddles! 😊

Her purr machine is always primed and ready to go, one gentle touch of her silky coat is usually all it takes to get it going. And the only thing Leona loves more than back rubs? Belly rubs! 😉💕

Lisa, meanwhile, is a striking little beauty with a personality to match. Those dark, fluffy ear tips, captivating eyes and adorable beauty spot on her nose make her pretty much as cute as it gets. 😍 And, just like her sister, she has an easily triggered internal purr machine that can go all the way up to eleven!

But what makes these two truly special is the bond between them. ❤️

Sometimes it feels like Leona and Lisa are quite literally glued to one another. They always sleep together, seem to read each other’s minds when it comes to playtime, and if one of them is lounging happily on a human lap, you can be pretty sure the other will soon come along to join in. 🥹🐾

They are sisters, best friends and partners in crime, and their beautiful connection is something we would really love to see preserved.

🏠 Ideally, we would love Leona and Lisa to find a forever home together, where they can continue to cuddle, play, purr and keep each other company for many years to come.

Could you be the lucky human(s) to welcome this gorgeous pair into your life? 💕 If so, please get in touch with us here below.

🐾 MEET BUSIA - OUR QUEEN OF BUNTING! 👑🖤🤍

Busia is a little bit special. She has recently been diagnosed as FIV-positive, which means she needs to remain indoors to protect her from contracting viruses and other nasties. With the right environment and care, Busia can go on to enjoy a full, happy and loving life. 🥰

Busia has been lovingly dubbed the Queen of Bunting, because there’s nothing she loves more than coming over for a gentle nuzzle of your forehead! 😊👑

She’s also a girl who knows the importance of looking her best! 💅✨ Busia absolutely loves being groomed with a brush and is a very relaxed and gentle little lady in general.

While she wouldn’t quite describe herself as a lap cat, Busia certainly enjoys being close to her human and is happiest when she has companionship nearby. ❤️

🍽️ Busia is also a BIG fan of good food! She has managed to put on a few extra pounds and is now working on getting back to a healthier weight. With guidance, a proper diet and plenty of love, we know she can do it! 🐾

Could you be the special person who gives this gentle, affectionate sweetheart the indoor forever home she deserves? 🏡❤️

✨ MEET THE 2027 CALENDAR STARS - JAKE ✨

You’ve already met our beautiful 2027 cover girls, Jake & Rose… now it’s time to get to know them a little better. 🐾❤️

First up is Jake.

Back in 2023, Jake and Rose survived a devastating house fire in which their owner sadly lost their life. Shortly afterwards, the two Collie girls were rehomed together through KLAWS, and it seemed their happy ever after had begun.

But earlier this year, circumstances changed and the girls once again needed new homes.

For Jake, that new beginning took her all the way to Wales. ❤️

She joined a kind and loving family and felt right at home from day one, quickly making friends with the resident dogs, all the humans in the household - and even the neighbours! 🥰

There’s something especially lovely about seeing a mature dog find the right home, and after everything Jake has been through, we couldn’t be happier with how her story has turned out.

And now you can see beautiful Jake throughout the year as one of the stars of our 2027 KLAWS Calendar. 📅🐾

✨ Calendars are available now for €10 from:

🐾 KLAWS Charity Shop, Kenmare
🐾 KLAWS online shop www.klaws.ie
🐾 O’Leary Collins Vets, Cahersiveen
🐾 Waterville Pharmacy
🐾 Veterinary clinArk, Killarney

Every calendar purchased supports KLAWS and helps us continue helping animals who need their own new beginning. ❤️

And keep watching - we have plenty more 2027 Calendar Stars for you to meet! ✨🐾

🤍 Meet Lou - our beautiful snow-white sweetheart! 🤍

When Lou first arrived at KLAWS, she was a very shy girl. But with a little time, patience and kindness, she slowly came out of her shell and learned that people can be trusted. 🥰

And now? Lou has discovered something she absolutely loves… rubs and cuddles! 😻 The more attention, the better, as far as Lou is concerned!

Lou is dreaming of a quiet, loving home where she can curl up on a welcoming lap and have a pair (or two!) of hands ready to give her those reassuring back strokes whenever she needs them. 🥰

Could you be the loving home Lou has been waiting for? If you’d like to welcome this gorgeous girl into your heart and home, please get in touch with us below. ❤️

🐾💗 MEET PUDDING - A SWEET LITTLE TORTIE LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 💗🐾

Pudding is every bit as sweet as her name would suggest… once she gets to know you! 😊

At first, this little girl can be a bit of a scaredy cat. But she has a few special comforts that help her come out of her shell, especially having a big, friendly, purring cat nearby. 🥰🐱

Once Pudding feels safe and relaxed, she LOVES to play! She’ll happily run around and have fun until she’s completely worn out, and then she’s more than happy to settle down for a long cuddle right under your chin… as long as you can keep still! 😻💕

Pudding can be frightened by loud noises, and too much activity or walking around can make her hide. Because of this, a quiet forever home without children would probably suit her best.

And if that home has a friendly resident cat? Well, that would be pure heaven for Pudding! 🥹🐾

Could you be the loving, patient forever home this sweet little girl is waiting for? ❤️

🐾 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR BAILEY 🐾

Beautiful Bailey, our lovely 2-year-old Collie girl, is looking for a new foster home. ❤️

Bailey has been in a foster home with the intention of being adopted, and her foster family have really enjoyed having her. However, her energy has proved to be a little too much for their resident dog, so we are now looking for a new foster home where Bailey will be a better fit.

And we have some wonderful feedback about this lovely girl! 🥰

✨ Bailey is extremely well behaved in the house
✨ She is now fully house-trained
✨ She walks beautifully on the lead
✨ She is also very good off lead
✨ She is fantastic with children
✨ She has shown absolutely no issues around their cat
✨ She is affectionate, playful, friendly and active
✨ She has shown no destructive or disruptive behaviour in the home
✨ She loves the company of other dogs, she just needs one who can handle her energy! 😉

Bailey is a typical young Collie, bright, energetic and full of life, so she needs a home that can keep her happy, active and engaged. A secure garden is essential.

As we know from before, Bailey isn’t a fan of crates or being confined in small spaces, but importantly, she has shown that she doesn’t need to be crated and has behaved beautifully in the home.

🏡 We’re really hoping to find Bailey a new foster home by the end of this week.

Bailey is currently in Co. Dublin, so a foster home within reasonable travelling distance would be ideal, but not necessary.

If you think you could offer this gorgeous girl the loving, active foster home she needs, please get in touch/apply here:

Please SHARE Bailey’s appeal. We really want to find her the right home as quickly as possible. ❤️🙏🏻
