“Ashtanga Yoga All-day Immersion, 11 January with Sarah Durney Hatcher”

Join Sarah for a day of detailed and introspective yogic practice. We will start with meditation, pranayama and chanting followed by Guided Led Ashtanga Yoga.

We will take a break for lunch and in the afternoon dive back into the practice looking at the inversions of the asana practice - shoulderstand, headstand, forearm balance and handstand.

We will end our day with philosophy and chanting: we will discuss the Yoga Sutras of Patañjali.

We will look to yoga sutra 1.20 and learn how faith, energy, memory and absorption with discernment brings us closer to our higher selves, absorbing our truest nature, samadhi:

“Sraddha virya smrti samadhi prajna purvaka itaresam”
