Today, we’re proud to announce the launch of the Powering Recovery: CJK Opportunity Fund in partnership with Coolmine Therapeutic Community - .tc

Since 2019, CJK and Coolmine have worked together to create real employment pathways for people in Dublin rebuilding their lives after addiction recovery. Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how access to education, training and meaningful work can create lasting change, with Coolmine graduates progressing into fully qualified electricians and long-term careers within our industry.

Building on this partnership, the new Opportunity Fund will help remove the financial and practical barriers that can prevent people from taking their next step. Through education bursaries and support for Dublin participants in Coolmine’s Recovery Internship Programme, the fund is expected to support up to 70–80 individuals over the course of the partnership.

At CJK, we believe in building careers, not just jobs. Together with Coolmine, we’re committed to creating meaningful opportunities that have a lasting impact on individuals, families, and communities.

CJK Apprentice Away Trip 2026 🌊

Last week, our apprentices headed west for this year’s CJK apprentice trip, with two days of activities, good craic and a few challenges along the way.

The trip started with surf lessons in Lahinch. The weather may not have been ideal, but there were still some great waves and a few managed to catch them 🏄‍♂️

Thankfully the conditions improved for day two, making for a brilliant day of rock climbing and abseiling near Doolin in the sunshine.

The annual trip forms part of our Rewards & Recognition programme, recognising apprentices who have shown strong commitment throughout the year through their attitude, attendance, timekeeping and exam performance.

It’s an important part of the CJK Academy to recognise the effort that goes into the apprenticeship journey and giving the group a chance to step away from site together as a team.

Project Completion | Office Fit Out ✅

CJK recently completed the electrical services installation to the Shell & Core and Cat A fit out of a company HQ for a multinational client.

Designed across two floors, the project features a striking fully glazed façade, feature lighting, external façade columns, and motorised BMS controlled glazing throughout.

The completed office spaces are flooded with natural daylight, creating a bright and modern working environment throughout the building.

Well done to all of the CJK team involved in delivering this project 👏

Supporting the next generation with Digital Realty 👷‍♂️

CJK are proud to partner with long-standing client Digital Realty on the development of their SOLAS-based Electrical Craft Apprenticeship Programme.

Through the programme, apprentices will rotate between Digital Realty and CJK, gaining hands-on experience across critical infrastructure and industry environments.

At CJK, they’ll become part of the CJK Academy community, benefiting from structured learning, strong mentoring and valuable industry experience throughout their SOLAS journey.

It was great to welcome the first three apprentices alongside Michael Branigan, Eamonn Thornton, and Digital Realty’s Evan Barker.

We look forward to supporting them throughout their apprenticeship journey 🙌

Giving Back in Finglas

It was great to get out and support the local community as part of our Giving Back initiative.

Teams across CJK shared the journey in for Earth Day - carpooling to work and getting a few cars off the road for the day.

Simple idea. Good impact.

20+ Lifts. Delivered Safely. ✅

A look back at a recent crane lift delivered by CJK for a Life Sciences client.

The scope included the removal of two redundant chillers, associated pipework, and a full plantroom strip-out as part of end-of-life upgrades.

With over 20 lifts completed, detailed planning and close coordination were critical. Each lift was carried out following full safety checks by our EHS team and site management, with a CBR test completed in advance by a specialist contractor.

A strong example of careful ex*****on on a technically demanding scope.
