Device Description OBS:
The Overtoom Balloon Catheter System® is a pyelum catheter intended for treating strictures of the ureter and, in particular, strictures of the ureteropelvic junction in a less invasive way. It comprises a catheter with a balloon and a non-return valve device, and a delivery device with a stylet and two ports. The balloon (18 French) keeps ureter strictures dilated while they heal, in a similar way to the use of an indwelling large-diameter bladder catheter for urethral strictures, while urine flows through the shaft. http://www.overtoomballoon.com/

How to fix the Overtoom kidney balloon blockers in an urostomy?
The skin sticker of the bag can easily be removed and exchanged without dislocating the catheters by folding the soft piece of oxygen tube. (Disregard the steri-strip)

Need to block the on going urine flow from kidneys and bypass the bladder? In case of perforation or fistula of the lower urinary track? Nephrostomy alone will not do the job. Now it's possible. The Overtoom balloon catheter can be used to treat ureteral strictures as a spacer balloon but can also be used as kidney blocker and bypass the bladder.
