Luail presents Nōs, a landmark triple bill of internationally acclaimed and defining contemporary dance works by choreographers Akram Khan, Oona Doherty and Liz Roche. Performed by Luail's extraordinary cast of eight dancers, the three pieces move from mythic worlds to raw human experience, revealing dance as a shared act of searching and connection.

Oona Doherty’s Lazarus Given New Life by Luail in Nōs at The MAC Luail revives Oona Doherty’s Lazarus in Nōs, a triple-bill with Akram Khan and Liz Roche, premiering at The MAC on 6 November as part of BIAF.

Announcing Stephanie Keane as Luail's Activating Archive Artist 2026.

During her residency, Limerick-born traditional Irish dance artist Stephanie Keane will be supported to spend time immersed in three significant archives. She will have the opportunity to engage with archival materials for her own research purposes or to develop a response, either choreographically, through film, or via further artistic documentation.

This multifaceted research opportunity takes place across Ireland and online this winter and is delivered in partnership with the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance and the National Dance Archive of Ireland at University of Limerick, the Irish Traditional Music Archive / Taisce Cheol Dúchais Éireann, and Our Steps Project with the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of NYPL The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.

We are delighted to announce that three awardees have received a total of €200,000 in funds through the new Shared Island Touring Scheme.

The Scheme, delivered in partnership with the Arts Council of Ireland and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and funded through the Government of Ireland's Shared Island Fund, provides all-island support for cross-border touring and cross-border co-productions.

ACTIVATING ARCHIVE RESIDENCY 2026

Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company and Irish World Academy at University of Limerick, invites applications from dance artists to the Activating Archive Residency, in partnership with the National Dance Archive of Ireland, the Irish Traditional Music Archive / Taisce Cheol Dúchais Éireann) and Our Steps.

The residency, which will take place in November-December, will include two weeks of supported access to the National Dance Archive of Ireland in Limerick, as well as rehearsal space at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. The selected artist will also have a week of supported access to the Irish Traditional Music Archive, and online access to "Our Steps, Our Story: An Irish Dance Legacy Archive", courtesy of Our Steps and the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of NYPL The New York Public Library.
