Faraway Fields - The Hardest Harvest
Series 2: Ep.1 | Wed 07/06/23 @ 9.35pm | RTÉ One
An Irish farmer, forester and fisherman experience life in some of the most challenging conditions on earth, as they find out if they have what it takes to live off the land and sea in a developing country. Can they cope with the gruelling day-to-day reality of subsistence living and the struggle for survival and what might they learn?
Episode one sees Cork Skipper Johnny Walsh catapulted onto a primitive wooden boat off the West Coast of Africa in overexploited Gambian fishing waters. Here he navigates the precarious food supply of the community of Tanji and other coastal Gambian communities whose dwindling fish stocks forces them to take perilous sea journeys to escape to Europe and beyond.

TA-DAaaaaa!
Now that the commercials we made with Circle K earlier in the year are broadcasting through out Europe, we can reveal a little of what it takes to get there. Thank you to an incredible crew who brought the show together over two great days.

Last Saturday was a successful night at the Underground Cinema for the newest member of Design for Life, Alan Power. Alan picked up the award for Best Animated Short. And it just never ends for this young man, as today he received his degree from IADT.
Nothing like taking home the silverware before the qualifications even arrive.

We had the pleasure of working with Dublin City Council to create a video for Make Way Day 2021, which is today 24th September. The campaign highlights the issues around unnecessary obstructions to footpaths for disabled users.
We are always excited to work on meaningful campaigns involving community and social outreach. Keeping the streets free of obstacles for the most vulnerable users is certainly an important one.

We've been working with Dublin City Council over the summer to highlight the benefits of Cycle Buses ahead of the return of Schools this week. Always delighted to work on great campaigns like these that promote the use of active, sustainable transport and a better environment.
