We love the variety of textures and patterns in Aran knitwear and we filmed Cyril demonstrating how some of these complex stitches are produced. Here's a little detail of one of Cyril's Aran dresses, to give you an idea.

We've discovered lots of gems in this collection of archival 8mm film, some of which will feature in our documentary on Cyril.

Another interesting piece of archival material. Cyril, affectionately known as 'Knitboy of The Western World' in the USA, featured here in Fashionweek magazine in 1968 along with a sketch of his 'Oyster' knitwear design.

We've just happened upon some more wonderful archival material during our research - Cyril Cullen designs modelled by the beautiful Thelma Mansfield, in 1967. Check these out!

The rain hasn't stopped us filming! Yesterday we spoke with Constance Harris, Fashion Editor of The Sunday Independent and today we filmed Cyril at work in his studio at Farney Castle. Here's a quick still from the studio shoot.
