Building Surveying is our bread and butter business. It's not sexy, so we don't tend to flaunt it about too much.

In the last number of months, we can see that the commercial property market is on it's way back up to a steady footing. We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries to provide pre-acquisition advice, providing technical due diligence and building condition survey reports. Cash buyers are in the market for value, and there is movement on the lending front at last it seems...

In recent months we have assisted with four commercial property purchases, six lease acquisitions and settled a couple of dilapidation's claims on behalf of both landlords and tenants. Some repeat business has come from this lot, so we must be doing something right. Phew!

Hi Folks,

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. We we're very busy finishing off an office fit-out in London, which was on time and on budget! We also began the design, pricing and PM process immediately for a new 10,000 sq.ft (815 sq.m.) office fit-out in Whitaker Court in Dublin 2. We're nearly complete on this job now too, so lots of photos will appear in due course!

We're delighted to have been recently appointed to provide a single point of contact service for a new office fit-out in London SW1.

Having completed the design process, we're now out to tender on this wonderful space (before pic attached). The new office equates to 7,000 sq.ft (655 sq.m.) of office space, with a separate communications room build out at basement level. IWS have design, project management and cost consultancy responsibility on behalf of our US Client. We have also provided Technical Pre-acquisition Advice on several properties before our Client finalised their selection and prepared a detailed Schedule of Condition Report for the lease agreement.

We look forward to keeping you up to date with progress of the project. We have a fast-track programme to complete the project prior to Christmas!

Hi folks. Yes it has been a while since we have updated the page, but we have been busy bees. We have picked up numerous building surveying instructions over the summer months, and we're looking forward to a busy end to 2012.

In the last month we have also been appointed to design, project manage and provide our cost consultancy service for a retail fit-out on behalf of UCD Student's Union in the brand new €50m Student Services Centre which has just opened on the UCD Belfield Campus. We're working to very tight deadlines so we should have some completion photos up very soon.

IWS had been appointed by Ladbrokes Ireland to inspect and prepare Structural Survey reports for two properties due for refurbishment. It really means alot to IWS that Ladbrokes continue to appoint us on projects. We're up to number 15 at this stage! Thanks Ladbrokes!!
