First time ever seeing a shooting star...and I caught it on camera. Aurora hunting at Newgrange. Thanks to Aidan Curran Photography who I'd never met before but who was also out Aurora hunting and showed me some camera tips and settings for night photography. A gent. We only saw a brief faint green glow...the main Aurora Borealis show occurred the night before with a chance of the Northern Lights for a second night which didn't appear. Still, was beautiful to admire the starry sky over such a historical jewel - and learn some new photography techniques.
Dún a RÍ, County Cavan, Ireland. My first visit probably since I was a kid. Some lovely woodland walks. But perhaps visitors' €5 entry fee could be used to improve the signage and toilets.
