Hi! I'm Sarah, I live in Drogheda with my lovely husband and our two little tots, and I love all things 1940’s & 50’s.
I just adore everything about the fashion and beauty of the era...nipped in waists, beautiful, full swirling skirts, draped bustlines, foxy wiggle dresses…all beautifully cut to show the wearer at their very best. This style suits everyone, and the beauty of it is that everyone can be a head turner! There’s just something about the glamour and sophistication of the era that puts a spring (or a wiggle!) in the step. So, I’ve made it my mission to bring a bit of va va voom to the world by offering something just a little different...elegant, distinctive, divine…welcome to Ruby Retro

That black dress... 😍
The Real Jessica Rabbit What I remember most about Jessica Rabbit is how she was always wearing that provocative red dress, cut oh so inappropriately low at the back, even just to run around town. Meet the real-life Jessica Rabbit, Miss Vikki Dougan, the 1950s 'It girl' who inspired the iconic cartoon s*x bomb...

RIP, Greta Friedman: at WWII's end, she featured in one of the most iconic pictures in history.
