Three weeks today CABL headline Torann 5
CABL are an alternative rock band put through a broken dishwasher. They take influence from a lot of different corners of music such as shoegaze, emo, Nu Metal and Folk. This signature blend has helped them sell out headline shows in Whelan’s, Workman’s the Grand Social and Sin E. They’ve played all over Ireland and supported the likes of The Scratch, Ulrika Spacke and Pillow Queens in Vicar Street.
There next release “uh oh” is out on July 9th and see’s them lean more into their emo influences. With hints of Sunny Day Real Estate and American Football it’s a bit of a change in direction for CABL all while maintaining their signature blend of noisy guitar work and introspective lyrics.

Martina and then moons are an all-female alt rock band based in Dublin, fronted by Spanish / Scottish front woman Martina Moon. There’s a lot of 90’s alt rock influences in their music, from the uplifting chorus and call and answer guitars of “Ominous Boner” that remind of Blur to the Radiohead-esque ambient slow burner “Baby Turtles”
Martina and the moons have played Dublin venues such as The button Factory, Vicar street and a sold out headline in Whelan’s. Their on second at Torann on July 11th.

Three weeks today until Torann. Our first act Haunted images is Louth based songwriter and producer David O’Farrell-Mcgeary. Haunted images sounds to me like a mixture of slowdive and DIIV blended with grune and nu metal bands like Deafheaven and Deftones. Really ethereal shoegaze with a hint of slowcore that gets really heavy and noisy.
The self-titled album “Haunted Images” is described by David as being “Dense and Delicate”. Listen to the blend of Emo, Shoegaze Nu metal and ambient music open TORANN on July 11th.
