Animals In Need Re-turn bottle/can recycling collection is our easy and simple fundraiser that everyone can get involved in. Thank you to all who contributed this far.
This fantastic incentive helps the environment AND feeds homeless animals at the same time. Roughly 3 bottles/ cans will provide 1 meal for a foster animal.
We have several drop off points for people to donate their bottles and cans with the Re-turn logo ( locations below)
We now also have stickers for anyone who wants to organise a collection for us in their work place/ office. The filled bags can be dropped off to us in the charity store and we ll sort the return.
Saves you the hassle of returning the bottles and AIN will raise money towards our pet food bill.
This is a win win for cleaner streets, greener environment and full pet bellies.

The current overbreeding of dogs in Ireland has led to rescues sadly struggling for space to accommodate all the requests for rehoming we are seeing.

To help ease the pressure, AIN can post the dog for private rehoming on social media. We will post a description and photo of the dog on social media without giving out personal information. Any home offers will be passed on to the owner for them to rehome the dog at their discretion.

Rehoming through our private rehoming will provide reassurance that the dog is microchipped, neutered and has received a minimum of 1st vaccine.

ANY DOG POSTED MUST BE:

Microchipped ( and registered to the person rehoming it) microchip number must be supplied.

Neutered if old enough ( AIN request permission to check this with the vet)

Vaccinated ( minimum first vaccination must have been received, AIN request permission to check this with the vet)

🌟 Male collie found in Buncrana. Approx 10 years old +. May have been straying for a while. He has received veterinary care and is doing well here at the shelter 🌟

This time last year PHOENIX was first brought to our attention and we never imagined the impact he would go on to have on not just us, but on everyone following his story.
His fabulous “foster” parents 4Poshpaws wrote this today:

Phoenix came to us via AIN, we were initially fostering him on his road to recovery, but we were (surprise, surprise) foster fails.
For those of you that are not aware of PHOENIX's story, he used up one of his nine lives when he chose to sleep in a bin that was used to burn garden waste, unbeknown to the family that then set fire to the waste with Phoenix still inside. Miraculously a burnt Phoenix managed to escape from the bin, it took volunteers a week to find him and catch him, by which time his wounds were infested with maggots and he was in a very bad way. Phoenix was taken to AIN where he quickly got admitted to the vets. I don't think anyone involved in Phoenix's rescue imagined he would recover unscathed from his dreadful trauma but this wonderful kitty had such a will to live and was so trusting and loving regardless of the pain he must have been in. Phoenix has made many kitty friends here but his healing buddy was LEO (ginger kitty in photos).
PHOENIX's story has reached many followers both here in Ireland and overseas, and we are blessed to have this gorgeous boy as part of our fur family.
PHOENIX's story would have had a much sadder outcome if not for the joint efforts of everyone involved in his rescue, so from the bottom of my heart, I thank you ❤️
