On the day of its arrival at the mouth of the river, it will be emptied into the waves of the Atlantic as a symbolic gesture of continuity.
The SOURCE TO SEA project is designed to unite all the different communities in a celebratory "festival-like" fashion along the river Lee from Gougan Barra all the way to the mouth of Cork Harbour. A uniquely designed “vessel”, which will be filled at the “source “of the river will be relayed along the Lee, by different community groups, leading towards the sea and merging with the Cork Harbour Fe
