Big news for St. Patrick’s Street! 🌳✨
The CBA welcomes Cork City Council’s newly announced pilot scheme aimed at decluttering, greening, and revitalising our city's main street.
What to expect:
🚫 Removal of redundant street furniture and old shelters.

🪑 New high-quality public seating, trees, and planters.

A phenomenal morning of great insights and important conversations.

Today, the Cork Business Association, in collaboration with the , hosted an exclusive briefing ahead of this year’s budget.

We were honoured to be joined by An Tánaiste and Minister for Finance, Simon Harris T.D., who shared his key priorities for the upcoming budget. He specifically highlighted investments in infrastructure and housing—both crucial elements required to support Cork’s rapidly growing population.

We then dove straight into an interactive panel discussion. The conversation tackled critical themes including the priorities of the European Presidency, the future of personal savings and investments, business succession planning, capital gains tax, and housing initiatives.

CBA President Dave O’Brien spoke directly with the Minister regarding the soaring cost of doing business, strongly advocating that SMEs be considered in the upcoming budget decisions.

A sincere thank you to for being spectacular hosts, and to our sponsors, & .ai, for making this event possible.

Great news for North Main Street and for Cork city centre!

Cork Business Association welcomes the news that Cork City Council is seeking a developer to turn the long-derelict buildings at 62-65 North Main St. into a mixed-use development of “high-quality urban design and create an attractive environment for city-centre living and employment”.

These buildings have stood derelict for over 10 years. Seeing progress towards bringing these sites back into active use is a hugely positive step for North Main Street and the wider city centre.
