⚠️FRAUD ALERT⚠️

Credit unions are being alerted to a recent text message and phone scam targeting members.

Fraudsters sent a text claiming to be from a credit union security team and then convinced the member to share One Time Passcodes (OTPCs), allowing them to attempt fraudulent EFT transfers.

Thanks to prompt action, significant financial loss was prevented.

🔒Reminder for members:
Never share OTPCs or security codes over the phone

Be cautious of unexpected texts or calls about account activity

Fraudsters may use convincing Irish accents and AI-assisted voice technology

Always independently verify security-related communications

Please stay vigilant and spread awareness.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE: Online Transactions and Account Balances*

We are continuing to work on a technical issue that has affected some account transactions and balances since Sunday, 17th May.

A processing error caused some transactions to display incorrectly, which may have temporarily impacted the available balance shown on some accounts. The issue has now been identified, and all affected accounts are now being worked through with our payment partners. Some transactions may still show as pending while this work is ongoing.

Current Status:
SEPA Instant Payments: Some incoming and outgoing SEPA Instant Payments may still be displayed or showing as pending.

Debit Card Transactions: An issue was identified within the settlement file processed overnight relating to available balances. This has been notified to the FIS, and some debit card transactions continue to show as pending on members’ accounts.

Banking Services: All other main banking services and platforms are operating as normal.

Our technical teams continue to work on resolving these issues and we will provide further updates as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.
