The UCC Players would like to extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of the wonderful Elmarie Mawe,
Over the years, we have had the absolute pleasure and privilege of chatting to Elmarie about our projects. Elmarie always had such warmth, enthusiasm and support for our creative escapades. Being in the studio with her and Conor was like being at the kitchen table with old friends.
The arts in Cork, amateur and professional, owe her a huge debt of gratitude and the stage lights will be a little dimmer without her.

And just like that, the curtain falls on another joyous adventure. Thank you to all who came out to support "The Professor on the Road to Death". We had a fabulous time entertaining everyone over the four nights and were delighted with such generous and heartfelt feedback. We hope everyone had as much fun as we did putting it all together.

A fabulous opening night for our first ever performance of "The Professor on the Road to Death" in the beautiful UCC Staff Common Room.

We can't wait to share the story with the rest of our audiences over the next three nights.

On Sunday, writer/director Brenda Lynch and stars Jim O'Mahony and Eric Browne popped into Cork's 96FM “The Arts House” to talk about the upcoming play “The Professor on the Road to Death” with Elmarie and Conor. What a lovely chat as always!

The production will run in the UCC Staff Common room from January 27th - 30th.

Welcome to the retirement of Professor Anthony St. John Posey.

London, 1958 - Professor Posey, distinguished scholar of the Courtauld Institute and decorated war hero, is announcing his early retirement. Once a revered member of the legendary Monuments Men, Posey achieved international fame when he and fellow officer Robert Delacroix uncovered a long-lost Van Gogh masterpiece in 1948: The Painter on the Road to Tarascon. Thought destroyed during the war, its miraculous recovery reshaped careers and cemented Posey’s legacy.

But as the professor prepares a lucrative memoir recounting his wartime exploits, old alliances will be rekindled… and old debts settled.

The guest list brings together a volatile mix of friends, rivals, and those who have waited years for the truth to surface.

This is an original piece written and directed by UCC Players member, Brenda Lynch and featuring a special appearance by members of the UCC Orchestra Society.

Tickets on sale tomorrow, Friday 12 December, from the UCC Visitor Centre.
This is a limited event with only 40 tickets per night.
