K O'Connell Fish Merchants
K O'Connell Fishmongers K O'Connell's fish mongers stall began life over 40 years ago, in Cork's legendary English Market.
It was started by the late Kay O'Connell, mother of Paul and Pat, who run it today. Kay started with just one stall, and was one of over a dozen fish stalls then selling in the Market. Now there are only three stalls selling fish and today the O'Connell's stall stretches to an impressive eighty feet in length.

Since 1962, K O'Connell Fish Merchants has been serving fresh seafood, thanks to Kay O'Connellβs dedication to quality π
Kay used to head out to Castletownbere with her sons, Pat and Paul, showing them the ropes, before they took over the reins. Now, 63 years later, Pat and Paulβs kids are carrying on the family tradition and keeping that commitment to fresh, local fish going strong.
