💥I'm currently minding my kids, so expect a slower than normal reply to your email💥
🔵How many of us are comfortable setting up an Out of office reply such as this?
🔵How many of us work for an employer who would encourage you to work this way?
We are in a 'New norm',so being Agile & 'Open to change' is very important to ensure we function efficiently in our new professional landscapes!
Setting boundaries for when you are either accessible or off-limits will allow you to focus properly on what's important at that point in time -whether it be sending an important email without the distraction of kids OR being in the moment with your kids when they need you & not having the distraction of emails buzzing in the background!
My Coaching focuses on helping clients to prioritise, to bring a semblance of order into a chaotic work life!
I get clients comfortable with saying 'NO' to certain requests, when up to now you may have been known by Clients/Colleagues to always say 'Yes'
A good Coach will explain why you need to say 'NO'.This is a mindset change that takes time to develop but the end reward (more quality time to focus on what's important, better energy etc) will be worth it!
Ultimately,it's about helping you to not feel overwhelmed in what is a very challenging world today!

💥"Job-seeker tip of the day" - Continuing on with our weekly 'Career tips' exercise, today we look at questions Hiring Managers may look to ask at interview! 💥
Given what has transpired over the past while, any Hiring Manager will want to know how Resilient you are as an individual. So when things 'get rough' are you someone who gives up or gets up and gets stronger??
Perhaps take a retrospective look back at past achievements, build your awareness around where you displayed resilience in the face of adversity, on a challenging project etc...
🔵Give yourself Credit for when you saw things through to a finish despite challenges.
🔵Get comfortable talking about how resilient you are / have been and most importantly have your examples ready to discuss at your next Interview!
Sometimes we may not think we displayed resilience when we actually did. We all have Blind-spots, so take time to Re-frame how you view past achievements and watch the examples build up!
It's [email protected] for more useful tips & ideas on successfully engaging at Interviews & much more!
Have good evening folks 👍

💥Good day folks. If you are hoping to be shortlisted for interview soon & just don't know what interview questions to prepare for, 'Progress Coaching' can help you!💥
Today, we look at a very common Question that 'Hiring Managers' tend to deviate towards at interview -
🔵"What are your 'Decision-making' skills like"? &
🔵"Give me some examples of good decisions you have made"?
The most indispensable employees can adapt their 'decision-making' skills in changing environments without ever losing sight of Company end-goals!
For instance, you may have been chosen to lead a Project at the start of 2020 but due to layoffs etc. your team got smaller. Resources are less also due to Budget cuts.
In your answer here you could talk about what decisions you had to make quickly to meet deadlines & make things work👌
'ProgressCoaching.ie' offers trial Interview sessions online where we ask you the questions that get you thinking about your best answers and ultimately help you to 'ace that interview'!
Have a great weekend all!

The past few months have been bizarre & if you are new to 'Self-employed' life, then bizarre would be an understatement!
Suddenly business got quite & the Cliff edge seemed closer -you either adapt & change or fall away.
I embraced Technology for the betterment of 'ProgressCoaching' & seen some really Great Coaching take place online.
Coaching in itself is a relatively new concept, so to ask Clients to do it online is a big ask. So I want to call out how my Clients have embraced Change & the level of Trust they've placed in the service I provide. After all, isn't Coaching all about adapting a 'Growth Mindset'.
'Virtual Coaching' is challenging & 'Active Listening' is vital to it's success. You need to give your Client an early sense that the listening isn't compromised by Technology & that their message is being heard clearly. Once you get that connection going early then the Trust, Openness & Conversation flows. It's the next best thing to 'face-to-face' Coaching
Without Technology my business would no longer exist, so embrace Change & be open to new ideas & we can get there folks!

💥Is exhibiting 'Humility' the key to successful Leadership moving forward 🤔??
Leaders who display this trait seem to garner more buy-in & trust from their teams!
Employees seem more empowered when working for someone like this 👍
Prevalent in "Leadership Coaching" right now is the phrase 'Confident Humility'!
It implies a respectful appreciation of the strengths of others, having the self-confidence to sometimes admit when one of your team is more skilled at something than you are!
Leaders exhibit 'Confident Humility' when they tend to:
🔵Practice gratitude
⚪Stay grounded
🔵Don't take credit for others successes
⚪Ask others for their ideas & input
🔵Admit your knowledge gaps
⚪Defer to others when they're the expert
🔵Speak up when you're the expert
"ProgressCoaching.ie" offers One-to-one Leadership sessions online 👍

💥So what makes a greattt Resume??? 💥
Happy Tuesday folks, hope all is well😁
'Jobseeker Tip of the day' - the content you choose to fill your CV Profile with can either powerfully connect with your intended audience or not!
Therefore, CV construction should start with knowing who your target readership is & building from there👌
The most impressive Resumes concisely & compellingly illustrate one major message! This is - 'How I made things better for the companies I've worked for up to now'.
🔵'Headline' -this appears directly below your name & could read something like "Communications Manager for fast-growing Fortune 500 Company"!
Make it informative & accurate 👍
🔵'Profile summary section' -this should be strong & to the point!
Here it's essential that you would talk about the skills/expertise that directly relate to the contribution they will make to your next employer!
Thread carefully however, 'To say that you're seeking a challenging Team Leadership position may well be true, but it says nothing about what you can do for a prospective employer' (Gary Burnison -CEO Korn Ferry)
So get your Value-add's in early & make the initial positive impact on the HR Manager or Recruiter :-)
