First day of kells done. Started abit cautious over slippy road ends. Second run starting to get the feel. Cut 2.6 seconds.
Roll on tomorrow
Finally Ready for Kells Road Races next weekend. A first time for me. I have to thank Neno Farquicker for all the help after Cookstown. Engine fully pulled apart. Cleaned. About half the engine got damaged unfortunately. But we are ready. Hoping for sunny weather and go back to my usual reliable form.
Best of luck to everyone racing in the WestCork Mcc drag. Id love to be there.

Getting the bike ready for Kells Road Races next weekend. SamcoSport® sponsored me a set of fresh blue hoses to replace the tatty green.
Thank you

Unfortunately i done very little
I launched for junior qualifying and thought this is wicked fast. But it very quickly started becoming hard to get gears. In under 1 lap it broke fifth gear in half and chunks off the selector drum.
I didn't know that yet and found out if i done 4 more laps in my supertwin qualifying id have the minimum 5 laps done and could race in back if junior B tomorrow.
Very kindly Nick Healy gave me his bike. I cruised around with 1.47.5 laps. Rolling before jumps. Braking early.
That evening in Ryan Farquhars workshop found the true extent of the damage. Needs full strip to clear the debris. So pulled the engine Saturday morning.

I decided kind of last minute to do the cork round of Irish minibike Championship. Engine I had was a bit worn and not making the power so I said I give It a quick freshen up the week before.
All weekend I chased a problem. Between 1 and 6 laps it would start breaking up badly. I went through everything fueling. Replaced every single electrical item. Then fitted a full new loom and electrics. Nothing changed.
In the end as I went to confirm timing again. It seems a set of valves I fitted weren't hardened. Probably 2 mm worn off the valve. The seat area is also in bad condition. No wear on valve seat or adjuster.
Just a little unlucky 🤷
Thank you Fran For the class photo.
To be fair to IMC they ran a great event

The struggle continued in Armoy. New Engine was consuming alot of oil. You can see in video. Before chicane i was down 13mph on last year. Similar drop in speed all around the course. Just didnt have the power.
Very easy to launch tho. 🤷 Got a great start in junior support.
Practice was wet. Back to back junior/supertwins qualifying was dry. I was set up way to hard but didnt have time to change. Means i only qualified for junior support. They had 52 entered for a 27 place race in supertwins 🤔
Wet wet Saturday morning i debated racing or not. Nicola encouraged. And i had a brilliant race.
Dropped time consistently. Fixed my line through Achesons cutting tight to grass ment i landed much nicer than last year. Went up 4 places and felt really comfortable. The wet setup is probably where i should have been on drys.
I hope to be back next year with a better bike and better performance.
Thank you all.
