On June 19, the Obama Presidential Centre opens to the public on Chicago’s South Side.

Past Presidential libraries often emphasised story-telling - recording past achievements. This Centre is intended as a place for story-making. The campus is integrated with landscape, comprising a museum tower, forum building and library surrounding a public plaza.

The Obama Presidential Center was designed by the New York based Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects [working with local firm Interactive Design Architects].
Their work has been recognised by numerous citations including the Praemium Imperiale from the Japan Art Association, National Medal of the Arts from President Obama and the 2013 AIA Architecture Firm Award.

In 2022, we were delighted to welcome Tod Williams Billie Tsien to Making In.

Congratulations to all at TWBTA on the occasion of the opening of the Obama Presidential Centre Obama Foundation
