Ahead of our night in Savoy with Kerrie, we are asking our artists on the night various questions about their DJ career, events & musical tastes.

Up first we have resident & DisTort Series founder RiaStartha, who talks about why he started the putting on events, what are the key elements to the events, and what makes international DJs stand out.

Kerrie is pretty much a purist’s dream:
No frills.
Pure techno.
Technically very good.

One thing that stands about her style is that it’s the antithesis of what many people don’t like about techno in 2026.

There is no clip farming, no huge build ups or massive drops. There is just a relentless soundtrack that keeps the rhythm driving throughout.

She is a Tresor resident, so it’s not a massive claim to say that it’s a style cultivated by the dancefloors of Berlin, where the parties go on for hours on end.

We are absolutely buzzing to host Kerrie, one of the few Irish artists who has become a mainstay on the international techno circuit.

Also thrilled to get Jon Hussey on the lineup, a true pioneer of Irish techno who has been upending the dancefloors for decades.

KERRIE
Headlining the night is one of Cork’s greatest ever techno exports. Since first picking up the turntables in the early 2000s, Kerrie has gone on to play some of the world’s most respected clubs: Berghain, Fabric, Bassiani, FOLD... the list speaks for itself.

Now a Tresor resident, she’s continued to go from strength to strength, playing major festivals across the globe while consistently delivering standout releases.

On August 29th, she returns to Cork with a vinyl-only set. Expect a masterclass.

JON HUSSEY
Sharing the billing is one of the true pioneers of Irish techno. DJing since the early ‘90s, Jon Hussey has spent over three decades pushing the sound, from launching the legendary Planet Dub nights in Dublin to playing clubs and festivals across Berlin, Amsterdam, London, New York and beyond.

Whether behind the decks or in the studio, Jon has remained dedicated to techno at its roots. His productions have found homes on respected underground labels, while his uncompromising DJ sets have earned him a reputation as one of Ireland’s finest selectors.

Expect flawless vinyl mixing and proper techno from one of the country’s longest-serving DJs.

From start to finish he let rip his record collection and delivered one of the great sets the old theatre has seen. He’s a future legend of the game and it was a real honour to have him with us in Cork.
