We were thrilled to attend the Private Healthcare Awards last night, where our Cancer Care at Work programme was shortlisted in the *Best Workplace Mental Health & Wellbeing* category. π
Cancer Care at Work is a national programme designed to equip employers with the skills, knowledge, and practical tools needed to support employees affected by cancer, particularly when returning to work following treatment. The programme aims to help organisations create compassionate, inclusive, and supportive workplaces where employees can navigate their cancer journey with dignity and confidence.
Being recognised alongside so many innovative healthcare initiatives was a fantastic honour and reflects the growing importance of workplace support for people affected by cancer.

ππ©βπ³ Healthy Food Made Easy is underway! π
We were delighted to welcome our first participants to our new Healthy Food Made Easy cooking course this week, kindly sponsored and facilitated by Bray & North Wicklow Area Partnership.
It was wonderful to see our brand-new Nutritional Kitchen in action for the very first time!
Running Monday mornings for six weeks, the course aims to show participants how to prepare simple, healthy and delicious meals that are easy to make at home.
The group got off to a fantastic start this week, making their very own pizzas! π We canβt wait to see what they cook up next week.
A big thank you to facilitator Sadhbh Forde and to Louise Curtin at Bray & North Wicklow Area Partnership for supporting this fantastic initiative and helping bring our Nutritional Kitchen to life.
And, of course, weβre hoping there might be a few leftovers for the Purple House team along the way! ππ
