Cinders Glass

My name is Lucinda Robertson. I am a studio glass artist. I make wine glasses, tumblers, bowls, vases, candle-holders, platters and jugs.

I also work to commission alongside the client to make special orders. My work is free blown by me with the help of an assistant. As I do not have my own hot glass workshop, I hire out studio time from studios in

Tragically the National Glass Centre in Sunderland UK has now closed for good.
Soon to be demolished to make way for a multi billion dollar development that will earn BIG.

Heritage, Culture, Education, Creativity, Identity of Place, Community, Opportunity, Endangered Skill Preservation are not vital nor valued in this Corporate mindset.

Shortsighted, miss-guided and preventable. A massive loss to the world's Glass & Ceramic community and the North East of England which has been synonymous with the glass & steel industries for centuries.

This phenomenal facility has been generous to me, and I will morne it's loss greatly.
