Crystal Bay is probably the most popular beach on Nusa Penida for a number of reasons. It is the best sunset beach, facing directly west. This alone makes it a winner for people trying to have a sunset beer and watch the sun go down. It’s also the jump-off spot for snorkel tours and is only a 30-minute drive from the main port, Toyapakeh. Most importantly, unlike many of the crazy beaches on Penida, you can snorkel and swim with relaxing conditions.

Tirta Empul is an important temple complex and holy mountain spring, located in the village of Manukaya in central Bali. The site serves as a legendary setting of a traditional tale about good versus evil. It is also a national cultural heritage site. The complex, built circa 960 AD, is also a silent witness to the old Balinese kingdom years, particularly at the time of the Warmadewa Dynasty. Tirta Empul, meaning 'holy water spring' is actually the name of a water source located within the temple. The spring feeds various purification baths, pools and fish ponds surrounding the outer perimeter, which all flow to the Tukad Pakerisan River. Various sites throughout the region and many other archaeological relics relate to local myths and legends.

Once you pay entrance to the Rumah Pohon Molentang grounds it gives access to the Nusa Penida Treehouse as well as the Thousand Island Viewpoint - also known as Pulau Seribu (literally translating to Thousand Islands) or Raja Lima. The stairway down is about a 10 minute walk and can be a little tough on a hot day. Although the views at the bottom are well worth it! There are two viewpoints giving a different angle of the beautiful eastern rock formations and crystal blue Bali Sea. The first has recently been roped off for tourists safety. So you can't get that rural island photo anymore but that doesn't take away from the incredible natural view. The second is up and past the Rumah Pohon Treehouse. It's one of the most Easternly points you can reach on Nusa Penida Island and if you have super strong vision you may be able to see Lombok! The views from the Rumah Pohon Molenteng grounds are beautiful and waking up in the treehouse would be like something out of a movie.

Tibumana derived from the word 'tibu', which means a deep riverbed or plunge pool. This can be spotted from the extensively deep plunge pool of the waterfall.
