In the past, little Georgius Pradipta Yogiputra was often asked to accompany his father at least once a month to the family tea plantation in Sukabumi, West Java. Georgius and his father would go there to make sure everything was in order, meet the tea plantation farmers, and have dinner with them while they recovered from the hustle and bustle of the capital city of Jakarta. At that time, Georgius did not understand all this until he asked his father why he wanted such a large tea garden and where his father sold his produce. His father replied emphatically that he had not bought these ten hectares of tea gardens for business reasons, but because he was committed to using a large portion of his monthly salary to green the environment. Moreover, the proceeds from the sale of the tea go entirely to the local residents. 🫖🧑🏼🌾
When Georgius was 19 years old, he remembered the time when he asked his father about the tea plantations again via video call from and asked if his father still frequented there. His father paused and said he had sold the entire tea plantation in order to finance Georgius' living and studies in Germany. At this point, Georgius was very sad and immediately thought of the fate of all his tea farmer friends and family. He, who was still in the first semester of his studies, was devastated and determined to make the most of his then-chosen course of study in automotive engineering and to give back to the and the farmers, no matter what he would do after completing his studies. 💪🏻🔥
This was the main reason for Georgius to establish Arush Arjava. Indonesia is known to be rich in natural resources, especially agricultural raw materials. There is even a song by a very famous Indonesian band called Koes Plus, which says that in sticks and stones can become plants. The sad thing is that most farmers do not have adequate knowledge of the world market, which combined with the large influx of imports into the country, leads to a decline in local prices and greatly affects the welfare of and their families. 🎶🌳

This is one of the Indonesian proverbs that we think fits the story we want to tell today.
When Georgius opened an old photo file, he found a photo of his father when he visited a family tea garden in the Sukabumi area of West Java. At the time, his father deliberately bought this tea garden not for business purposes, but with the intention of donating part of his income to .
Perhaps it sounds a bit silly, why wouldn't a tea garden, which has quite a large profit potential, be meant for the family, at least for an additional monthly household expense, right?
However, his father was determined to use all the proceeds from the sale of his tea for the welfare of local residents. We did not write wrong, 100% profit for them. In this way, local residents can also feel a sense of belonging and participate in maintaining the beauty and sustainability of this tea garden. The result is that the environment stays green, the air is fresh and the residents are happy because they have a regular income from their salary and even more when all the profits are distributed to them.
Maybe it started with just one person. But imagine if everyone had such awareness. Then this world will be greener, fresher and more livable.

Georgius Pradipta Yogiputra once told us that in the past he was often mistakenly called "Gregorius" by his teachers in school, although his real name was "Georgius". Maybe his name is not very common, is it? 🤭
He added that this name was the baptismal name his parents chose for him because the background of St. George was so interesting and they hoped that Georgius could follow his example. 🙏🌿
Apart from that, there was one interesting thing that Georgius told us about his name. He said it happened about two years ago.
Georgius told us that he usually gets his hair cut every 3 months in Germany. The reason is quite clear: the price. In his opinion, 15 EUR (about 2020) was a very high price for a haircut, of course compared to the prices in Indonesia. But once every 3 months is still okay for him, which means he invests only 5 EUR every month for his hair. 💸✨
While a hairdresser is doing her work, she usually invites customers to chat. This is understandable, because even she can get bored sometimes. At this time, the hairdresser asked what Georgius was doing in and where he was from. Georgius answered normally about his studies, until finally out of his mouth came that he wanted to do something in Indonesian . 🧑🏼🌾
Suddenly, the hairdresser said, "Sorry, I forgot to ask, but what is your name?". When Georgius said his name, the hairdresser suddenly said, "But didn't you say you were from Indonesia? You're not from Greece, are you?". Then Georgius was confused and asked why. It turned out that the Friseur was from Greece, and that's when she explained to him what the name "Georgius" means in Greek. 🇮🇩🇬🇷
Georgius was completely shocked at this point. How could he not be, because it turned out that Georgius (or spelled "Georgios") means " " in Greek. The hairdresser added that the name is actually a combination of two words meaning "earth or land" and "work". At that point, all he could think in his head was, "Is this a coincidence? Should I take this field seriously?" 🌱🚜
Coincidence or not, anything that starts with good and sincere intentions will surely bear sweet fruits in the end. 🍎

This morning we learned that the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Syahrul Yasin Limpo, had a working meeting with the Regional Representative Council of Indonesia some time ago.
On this occasion, he explained the programs to implement the agricultural policy to be carried out in 2022, including:
(𝟭) Programs for the availability, access and consumption of quality .
(𝟮.) Program for value creation and industrial competitiveness.
(𝟯.) Program for scientific and technological and .
(𝟰.) Vocational and training programs.
(𝟱.) Program for management support.
We hope that this program can be well implemented this year so that agricultural products from can be increasingly recognized in the world as high quality products, while producing high and stable quantities that will last for a long period of time.

Looking through an old photo album, Georgius found a photo of himself when he was about 7 or 8 years old, with his uncle, aunt and brother in his uncle's watermelon garden in East Java, Indonesia. 👀🥰
He remembers the heat, the sweat, and the glare of the sun that day. His uncle introduced and showed Georgius the process of growing watermelons from seed to fruit. His uncle said, "You not only have to know how to eat, but you also have to know the effort and sweat of the farmers who produce the freshness of this fruit." 🧑🏽‍🌾💪🏽
Perhaps it was one of many little stories that created in Georgius' subconscious the attitude and love for the world of agriculture in Indonesia. 🌾🚜

In our opinion, the element of the Arush Arjava logo that immediately catches the eye is the two twin figures flanking the circle in the center. 👀🙈

The name of the character is "Wayang" or can also be written as "Wajang". Wayang are puppets made of leather, usually used in certain events to tell stories that have a high learning value for the younger generation. 🏟🎉

Of course, there are many characters in wayang history. But our founder chose a wayang called "Wisanggeni". The choice of the character was not without reason. According to him, Wisanggeni's character is a character that we want to use as a guide to run this company and is very worthy of imitation. It is said that Wisanggeni is a wayang character who is brave, steadfast, like to help, and has extraordinary supernatural powers. 😊✨

The circular logo in the center can have two meanings, that of the sun and that of the globe. As we explained in the previous post about our name - have you read it yet? If not, you can read the full details in the previous post, okay? - we hope that our company can be like the sun, bringing benefits to many people. And globe? We also have the desire that we can make Indonesian products known all over the world, without exception.☀️🌎

That was the first impression our founder - Georgius - got when he announced to his German friends and colleagues that he was going to start a business dealing with the trade of spices and herbs. 🌿🧄

Georgius knew all well, but he insisted on the name. As often taught by his mother and father since childhood, the name is a prayer. Behind the name is also the hope of where and what the being wants to be. 🙏🥰

In Indonesia there is a saying: "If you don't know it, you won't love it". On this occasion, we would like to introduce what this difficult-to-pronounce name means. ☺️❤️

The literal meaning of "Arush" is the first ray of the sun. In fact, this name does not come from the original Indonesian language, but from Sanskrit, which has greatly influenced Indonesian in the past. This first name gives us hope that our existence can be like the sunshine in the morning, bringing new hope, new miracles, and benefits to many people. 🌞🌻

The name "Arjava", which also comes from Sanskrit, means sincerity, straightforwardness, and non-hypocrisy. In the spirit of this name, we also want to do business with all stakeholders with honesty, integrity, transparency, and fairness. ⭐️✨
