To support our employees in working on themselves and developing their expertise, we created Gen & Tonic: DataBites Edition, a special format and a kind of admin night for education, where people encourage each other to learn, grow and improve, in a relaxed afterwork atmosphere, with a G&T corner, finger food, great people and shared learning😎

We went through the Gen AI & LLM on Databricks Badge together, with no stress, no prior knowledge needed and one clear goal, to learn together, the result was more than 40 badges earned 👏

We are proud that so many colleagues from different teams, tech stacks and departments decided to join in and take another step in developing their knowledge in GenAI, LLMs and Databricks, special congratulations to our lucky raffle winners 🥳, and a big thank you to everyone who was part of this gathering!

Celebrating International Women’s Day at Valcon Croatia meant taking a small pause from the everyday rhythm and creating space for creativity, connection, and a bit of well deserved relaxation 🎨🍷 In both our Zagreb and Split offices we organised a Paint & Wine evening for the amazing women of our team, acknowledging the challenges women still face in business and technology while also recognising how important it is to simply unwind, recharge, and enjoy a safe and supportive environment 💙 No presentations, no pressure, just brushes, colours, good wine, and great company...

Ovo je nešto što AI (barem zasad) ne može - tri sata aktivne izmjene ideja, mišljenja, izazova i debata, sve s jednim ciljem: inspirirati jedni druge 🍕🤖

Održali smo dvije Pizza AI Session radionice, u Splitu i Zagrebu, interes je bio ogroman, a još veće je bilo sudjelovanje, jer nama AI nije “AI radi AI-ja”, već AI u stvarnim timovima, sa stvarnim klijentima i stvarnim ograničenjima. Focus je bio na praktičnom iskustvu, konkretnim use caseovima i realnim scenarijima. Dobra atmosfera i odlična energija su se podrazumijevali, ali ono najvažnije bila je aktivnost sudionika, sagledavanje AI-ja iz poslovne i privatne perspektive, razmišljanje out of the box i otvaranje novih pitanja. Tri sata su proletjela u trenu, a vjerujemo da će ovakve inicijative potaknuti nove rasprave i nove načine implementacije AI-ja u svakodnevni rad 🚀

From Q1, Q2, Q3 reporting cycles to something much sweeter, sometimes the calendar deserves to take the lead, and this past week it absolutely did, we kicked things off with Shrove Tuesday and the unmistakable joy of tradition, office doughnuts.
And while the focus may be on Shrove Tuesday, we still owe a little bit of Valentine’s atmosphere from our Split office, so we’re adding even more "pinkcakes" moments to the gallery because between sweet traditions, shared tables, and colourful office energy, those Q1-Q2-Q3-Q4 timelines suddenly feel a lot lighter, don’t they? 🍩🥞💗
