A tragic incident unfolded at GPHC last evening as a 22-year-old woman, identified as Marisa J. Eastman, reportedly jumped to her death.

According to reports, Marisa had shared a farewell message on her social media prior to the incident. She also posted videos showing signs of distress after receiving a recent medical diagnosis.

Sources say she was approximately 7 months pregnant at the time.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time. 🕊️

Local Company teams up with Crystal Lagoon to introduce waterfront blue water communities in Guyana 🇬🇾

The Monarch Group, a local real estate development company, has signed an agreement with US-based technology company, Crystal Lagoon, to bring waterfront communities to Guyana.

The collaboration aims to bring beach life to Guyana, while introducing a new era of waterfront communities.

In a statement today, it was explained that Crystal Lagoons’ innovative technology has been instrumental in crafting turquoise blue waters and sandy beaches in prestigious communities and public access spaces across the globe, including in Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Egypt, Mexico, Argentina, and the United States.

The centerpiece of the partnership will be the development of the first-ever Monarch Bay waterfront community in Guyana.

The investment is led by prominent Guyanese businessman, Clairmont Cummings, who announced the partnership
