China Is About to Bury Elon Musk in Batteries
Factories are adding enough capacity to power the equivalent of nearly 1.5 million Model S vehicles
By Joe Ryan
As Elon Musk races to finish building the world’s biggest battery factory in the Nevada desert, China is poised to leave him in the dust.
Chinese companies have plans for additional factories with the capacity to pump out more than 120 gigawatt-hours a year by 2021, according to a report published this week by Bloomberg Intelligence. That’s enough to supply batteries for around 1.5 million Tesla Model S vehicles or 13.7 million Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrids per year, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance.
Lithium-ion batteries have long been used in smartphones, laptops, and other personal electronics, but demand is forecast to explode in the next five years as electric vehicles proliferate and power companies install giant storage systems to smooth the ebb and flow of wind and solar.

It's a beautiful Friday morning with clusters of harmatan all over. But most importantly, the sun is up and shinning. That is free cost of energy wasting on the roofs our companies, private residences, churches etc. Let's think let's think &EngineeringSolutions
Infomercial On solar energy
Energy News From Journalist Israel Laryea:
The is that is faced with an electricity generation deficit of at least 700MW because, of the 500MW installed capacity at Aboadze, Takoradi only 100MW is available as the rest of the generators are down, whilst at Bui, the hydro dam is only able to supply 90 of the nearly 400MW installed capacity.
Meanwhile, the July date for the gas processing plant to bring on-stream the much-anticipated Jubilee gas (to make generation cheaper and not necessarily provide additional generation) is not looking good. The Energy Minister who supplied the above facts, now says we should expect the gas in the last quarter of 2014.
Because I care for you, my advice is that you consider alternative power.
You may also consider solar, or biogas. Whichever you choose, please do something. The power is yours!

No Sunshine? No Problem! Solar Power That Works At Night!
Using the sun to support our electrical grid has always had one major issue – the sun only shines about half of the time. Critics of solar energy often point to this fact to justify their position that renewables will never be able to replace fossil fuels. This argument is appealing on its surface: we all know that sunlight and wind are intermittent. But what if the sun didn’t have to be shining for a solar power plant to continue generating power? Can solar match coal and oil’s round-the-clock production capability?
Thanks to innovation in the concentrated solar field, the answer is yes!
