Styx Centre LBG is a non profit Community Centre with an enclosed playpark and Room Hire The ground floor of the centre is fully accessible.
Styx Centre was purchased by the Western Parishes Youth and Community Centre Trust in 1986, to secure premises for use by the youth of the upper parishes. Today 'Styx Centre LBG' provides a home for many organisations, including several charities. In 2017 the Mission of the centre was redefined to reflect the changing needs of the community. Styx Centre Mission
'To promote and facilitate inclusive high quality and evidence based activities which address the welfare, health, social and recreational needs of the community.'
The centre is also home to Guernsey Academy of Theatrical Education (GATE) and it's 400 students aged between 3yrs and 19yrs. Styx Centre has a sports hall suitable for basketball, 5-a-side football, yoga, pilates and fitness classes. The centre is also a very popular venue for children's parties, family events, quiz nights, dance practise and other activities. There are a number of studio/multi purpose rooms, one with an adjoining kitchen. There are two rooms suitable for qualified health and well-being practitioners to use. The centre also has a lovely small park area with a playground, adult outdoor exercise machines and picnic benches. There is a car park and further parking available at St Peters church and at Le Longfrie Inn (up until midday).

👉 We're looking for volunteer drivers to help transport people to essential wellbeing appointments and activities. Whether it’s once a week or once a month, every journey makes a real difference.
You’ll be using your own vehicle to:
🚗 Support those without transport
👫 Help people access care and reduce isolation
⏰ Volunteer at times that suit you – even just a morning a month
