We are pleased to announce the winners of our first annual St. David’s Primary School Tournament, which concluded yesterday. The participating teams will be invited to our club’s annual awards ceremony to receive their respective awards.
As President, I am proud to see the excellence demonstrated throughout this tournament. Completing such a meaningful initiative within our parish is truly an achievement
We extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors—especially the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Grenada Football Association, for their partnership and support in making this event a success.
We look forward to hosting a follow-up football festival, giving all players the opportunity to continue developing their skills as we work together to elevate football within our parish.

The football action never stops. ⚽️ Up next it's our ladies time to shine as they participate in the inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup. We're in League C and grouped with the Bahamas and the US Virgin Islands. The team is being coached by former National player and coach Jake Rennie and our ladies have been working hard. “Woman of football shines at the local Sports award for the year 2022.”
Congratulations to our female footballer of the year FC Camerhogne's and Central Methodist University's Roneisha Frank.
Roneisha was also voted as the People's Choice. She was the lone goal scorer in the Concacaf W Qualifiers in 2022 and had a fantastic season with her university finishing with 19 goals, 5 assists, 6 game winning goals and 41 points. She was also awarded 1st team All American, twice awarded player of the week all while maintaining a GPA of 3.5.
The GFA has begun laying the seeds for the sustained development of women's football in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. We began with a C Licence Coaching Course last week involving close to 30 women who will drive the development of women's teams nationwide. FIFA and Concacaf Instructor Heather Dyche was the lead facilitator in the course and she is very optimistic for the future of women's football in Grenada.

The GFA will be training a number of women to secure their D coaching licence from the 23rd to the 27th January, 2023, facilitated by Heather Dyche, FIFA, Concacaf and US Soccer instructor. She is also the Head Women's Soccer Coach at the University of New Mexico. This is part of a major women's football thrust for the GFA this year. Participants met earlier this week to discuss the course and their expectations.
