Issuing fake MOT certificates are illegal. ⚠️

An MOT tester has been given a prison sentence of 10 months for issuing 23 fraudulent MOT pass certificates.🚗⚖️

David Swain, who later became a manager at the Autolynx Garage Ltd. in Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to the offences at Bournemouth Crown Court on 28 March 2024.

DVSA investigated previous MOTs he had issued and found he had been doing this for some time.

He did this partly because he had debts to pay.

The judge said that issuing MOT certificates for these vehicles jeopardised the safety of those driving them and that of other road users.

He was also concerned that they could be used for criminal purposes.

He acknowledged the gain to Swain was modest but the potential harm was considerable.

If you're an MOT tester, don't be tempted.

So the only access to us is via Abbeydale road.
