Sandwich Maker & Counter Assistant

Location: Pen*stone High Street
Job Type: Full-time (flexible hours available)

Role Overview:
As a Sandwich Maker & Counter Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches and serving customers at the counter. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where customer service and food quality are key.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing sandwiches, pies and other deli items to a high standard as well as basic butchery products
• Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Handling payments and operating the till
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the food prep and service areas
• Stocking displays and keeping the counter well-presented
• Assisting with general shop duties as required

What We’re Looking For:
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Previous experience in food preparation or a Butchers shop is essential
• Reliability and punctuality

Tim and Jim’ll fix it are cracking on with the shop in Pen*stone, shes taking shape now !

Richard at Whitewood Construction is getting some footings in the ground over in Sheffield for our new cattle shed and there’s plenty of the good stuff leaving the door like these Full Fillets for a valued customer and of course plenty of bangers for good measure ! 🥩🌭

Me and Liv headed down to Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to the first of the new butchery equipment to fit out the new shop

🥩 Exciting news for spring 🥩

It’s been long awaited but we finally have the keys to our own shop right in the heart of Pen*stone.

Don’t panic, Holme Coffee House have moved just across the road and we are delighted to follow on from such a great successful business, we wish them all the best in their new Holme!

There’s a lot of work to do to turn it into the butchers shop that we can envisage but We will keep you updated with all things shop related !

Strong start to the spring with big news to follow.

🎄🥩 All done for another year…Merry Christmas to all our customer’s and suppliers alike, thankyou for making Christmas 2025 busier and slightly more organised than the year previous, that’s all we can ask for🥩🎄

We have 5 large turkey crowns left. These are on the bone and fantastic quality. Reared in Sheffield, approx weight 7-8.5kg. These are £80 each

We are on our last few contract butchery jobs and other extra-curricular jobs. Next up hampers and private orders.

Hampers and private order’s will be available from this Friday onwards, if you havnt already please drop us a message with your preferred delivery day.

In this years hamper you have the following -

1 pack dry cured English back bacon

1 tray of 15 Traditioanl thin pork sausage made with natural casings.

1 pack of 15 traditional pigs in blankets made with dry cured streaky bacon

1.5kg British pork loin joint 🐖

🥩1.5kg British dry aged native breed sirloin joint🥩

1.5kg gammon joint 🐖

1 tray of our very popular PROPPER pork sausage meat stuffing with sage

A tube of old English sausage meat

🚙All hampers are delivery only and delivery dates will be as follows
21st, 22nd, 23rd and the morning of the 24th of December 🚙
