Just one week to go until Volunteers' Week. We will be thanking our wonderful volunteer team at CATH with a celebration to mark their fantastic contribution to Churches Action for The Homeless (CATH).

Art Workshops have returned this May at On The Mend. Tutored by local artist Sarah Halliday, this block our focus is florals 🌸 These classes are relaxed and friendly 🖌️🎨 and always well received. Missed this one? Don’t worry! There will be more opportunities to take part and learn from our resident artist and friend 🫶 Sarah Halliday - Artist, Illustrator, Designer

☀️Looking forward to those sunny summer vibes at On the Mend in June, with lots going on!

🌞Volunteer crafter Pauline will be sharing her considerable card making skills at the Friday ‘Intro to’, £5 for 4 sessions.
🌞Still spaces to learn to knit on a Wednesday afternoon or join the Saturday Sew-cial and get creative with reuse fabric.
🌞We are fundraising at The Yard Market 27th June.
🌞Hitting the road and getting out and about with pop-ups at Letham Climate Challenge and the Madoch Centre.

A big On the Mend thank you 💐to Nettie for volunteering her time to share her upcycling and sewing skills on Saturday afternoon. I think everyone would agree it was a fabulous session and we all came away with knowledge and enthusiasm for making some little changes to the clothes we have, rather than buying new. We were able to offer this free session on Perth High Street with help from the Green Living ♻️ Fund and Nettie showing the power of volunteering!

Try something that makes you happy this Mental Health Awareness Week. At On the Mend we have lots of activities that anyone can do for that lovely 'I made that feeling', a proven way of boosting well-being. These pretty flowers embroidered on card were created by the 'Friday intro to all thing textiles' workshop, we think they look fabulous.

Less than a month to go until Volunteers' Week! At the CATH Shop and On the Mend our dedicated volunteer team is at the ❤️ of everything we do.
