Community is built through thousands of small choices.
Yesterday I picked up materials from for the workshops I’ll be running during Sherwood Art Week next week, and I was reminded how much value there is in shopping locally.

is made possible by an incredible amount of volunteers and small businesses, artists and venues who give their time, creativity and energy to make art accessible to everyone.

I’m honoured to be involved again this year and to have some of my artwork displayed in alongside so many talented artists.

If you’re local, keep an eye out for the artwork around Sherwood and make sure you check out the programme, there’s something for everyone.

One local stationery shop, one community art festival, dozens of volunteers, and hundreds of people coming together. This is exactly what looks like in real life, right ?☺️

This might not look like your typical “what I sold in a day” market post, but that’s the reality of running a small business.

Some days are great, some days are quiet, and some days are a mix of everything all at once.

After doing markets for over three years, I’ve learned it’s never just about the sales. It’s about the stories people share, the connections made in passing conversations, the lessons you pick up along the way, and the whole messy, beautiful process of showing up anyway.

Because in the end, it’s not just what you sell that matters… it’s what you experience while you’re building it.

And on days like today, I’m reminded that even when the numbers are small, the meaning behind it all can be so much bigger.

Before Minimalism, I was all about acrylics, watercolour and silk painting. I was painting canvases inspired by the things I love. Art should stir emotions - for me, it's about nostalgia and happiness combined.

I'm sharing more of my art with you, and I'm excited for you to see this much colourful side of me. Next up is a food-inspired series, which will be up for sale soon.
