Earlier today I was sat eating a delicious sandwich from a local deli and scrolling through Instagram. I was seeing a lot of posts about supporting local businesses and thought I'd add my own to hopefully spread the word further.

According to the New Economics Foundation, if we each spent £10 in a local cafe, shop, hairdressers, etc.... then that business owner is likely to spend that £10 paying a local supplier, tradesperson or employee. If they then spend that money locally we've got a pretty great circle. How amazing would that be?

From a really quiet Tuesday, last week, to a surprisingly busy one yesterday 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ That's the nature of retail unfortunately, as many small businesses know. I'm currently sat here doing this post after having zero customers in so far 😅

Here are our opening hours for June.

Please note new times for Saturdays. Since have started doing Saturday markets we've noticed an increase in footfall earlier in the day which really tails off by 4pm. We will be opening an hour earlier at 11am and closing 30mins earlier at 4pm.

Sunday opening this month will be on the 7th & 21st from 11am-2.30pm.

We are continuing to open on Tuesdays for now, but sales are usually very low on this day. I don't think we will do them in July and definitely not in August, but will look again in the Autumn.

Take me back to last week 😍 I'm so glad the kids are back at school, but we had such a great time in the Lake District. If you haven't been then I highly recommend it. Obviously the weather helped and I'd probably have a different outlook if it had rained all week 😂
