We got gifted two birthday cakes! 😃🎂

made us the most perfect on-brand cake that is so beautiful it's going to be hard to cut into it! 😍

And the deliverer of joy and whimsy gave us a balloon cake! 🎈

I find it hard to step back and look at what's been achieved because I'm always straight on to the next thing 😅 But it is kind of wild that what started as a pop-up for Christmas is still going 11 years later! And that we have been able to keep going through everything that's been thrown at retail! So far at least 🤞

I feel so incredibly lucky to be part of this kind and supportive community. The world has been getting darker and darker but  you guys are always my reminder that there are good people out there. And I don't just mean you guys buy things. You are compassionate and caring people that want the world to be a better place and I appreciate you 💜💙💚💛🧡❤️

I also want to say a huge thank you to the HN team, because there's a whole team now! .mcevoy.caunt who illustrates all our branding, graphics and some products makes HN visually what it is 👌And .cousins and are my right hand guys on the shop floor keeping things ticking over and bringing you all the good vibes 🥰 Thank you to all of you for everything you do for HN and as my friends 🧡

Every year I post about pre Christmas burnout and this year is no different. All my peers are feeling it and every year feels more exhausting than the last because there's never any time to stop. Capitalism keeps us chasing after that next opportunity to sell just so we can pay our ever increasing bills. And the fat cats at the top are more than happy with us chasing our tails year after year while they get richer and richer 😡

I'm not trying to be a Scrooge 🙈 I hope you all enjoy the run up to Christmas and all the festivities!This is a reminder to not only support small businesses but be kind. Behind small businesses is one person or a small team doing their very best to keep up and provide you with Christmas joy. So, please shop small, be patient, be kind and shop early! 

And if you're a small business owner, you've done it before, so you can do it again. Just make sure you find time for you during the festive season 🧡

Each portrait will take around 10 mins, depending on how complicated the request is.
