Barnabus is a Christian Homeless Charity based in Manchester with a support centre and support office in Manchester city centre.
Our support workers help people find shelter, assist with benefits, housing ,employment and rehabilitation. Barnabus is a Christian Homeless Charity in Manchester with a support centre, support workers and NHS health workers in conjunction with The Urban Village Medical Practice. We also have our own Resettlement Tenancy Scheme empowering people with lived experience of homelessness into a home. We offer a lifeline to homeless and vulnerable people, providing hope and opportunities for transformation. We offer a strong network of support and work closely with other specialist agencies to cover all aspects of need. We don't believe anyone should be without a home. Our aim is to release people from poverty, fear and oppression, empowering people to improve and rebuild their lives in a sustainable way. When you support Barnabus and share about our work you're providing hope and provision to homeless and vulnerable people.
Our wonderful volunteer Ken has been part of the Barnabus volunteers team for some time and recently went the extra mile for us, quite literally!
As part of our 35 for 35 challenge, Ken and five of his friends took on a 35-mile bike ride to raise vital funds for Barnabus as we celebrate 35 years of service. 💛
We’re so grateful to Ken and his friends for putting the miles in, raising money and helping us celebrate this special milestone. 🚲

The Manchester Marathon 2027 is officially sold out, but we still have a small number of Barnabus places available!
General entry was £95, but our Barnabus places are just £50, with a fundraising commitment of £500.

Could your business host a Barnabus donation bin? 💛
We’re looking for local businesses who would be happy to host one of our Barnabus donation bins, giving their customers, staff and visitors an easy way to donate good-quality clothing, shoes and bags.
Your business can help make a real difference to people experiencing homelessness across Manchester, simply by providing a space for donations to be collected.
We’ll provide the donation bin and arrange its collection, making it an easy way for your business to support Barnabus and the people we work with.

It’s National Gift Aid Day 2026, so we thought it was the perfect time to remind our supporters about Gift Aid! 💛
Did you know you can increase your donation by 25% by simply ticking the Gift Aid box?
If you’re a UK taxpayer, the government adds 25p to every £1 you donate to Barnabus.
It doesn’t cost you anything extra, but it helps your donation go even further and allows us to support more people experiencing homelessness.

If you have experience working with vulnerable people and demonstrate a person centred, trauma informed approach, this could be the role for you. Direct experience around homelessness isn’t compulsory, the right person is! 😊
