It's super cold at the farm this week. Apologies to those clients who's appointments have been cancelled due to frozen pipes. I'm tackling it on a day to day basis when I get to work each morning and so far I've had to cancel 2 days. I will still send reminders but please be aware I may text you on the morning of your appointment if the pipes are not defrosted. I'm hoping for rain and warmer weather.

I will endeavour to reschedule everyone but it's very tight fitting everyone into an already full diary.

POLITE NOTICE

I meant to post this last week but have just been so busy. If you are aware or if you suspect that your dog may have fleas, then please do not bring them to the salon. You will need to cancel the appointment, treat the fleas and reschedule your dogs groom.

I’ve had to flea fog the salon 4 times in as many months due to dogs coming in with fleas. It costs me £15 each time to do this and I have to cancel all of the following dogs that day in order to do so. This has an impact on the rescheduling of those dogs and a loss of earnings.

Just giving everyone a heads up that Paws with Mel will be closed from July 4th through to August 4th. My answerphone will be on but I will not be able to respond to any calls. Next bookable appointments are the 2nd week of September. Yes, September 🫨.

Paws with Mel will be closed for a while due to a close family bereavement. Apologies to those people affected by cancelled appointments. 🙏

📢 PRICE INCREASE ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

This is never an easy thing to do and I have held off for as long as possible, trying to absorb the extra costs I have been facing. Both my electric and water bills have increased massively over the last 12 months as well as the costs of shampoo and upkeep of equipment.

I would like to inform my wonderful clients that starting 1st April, 2025 there will be a slight price increase of £3.

I understand these times are hard for everyone, and would like to say a big thank you to each and every one of you who support my small business. I’m hoping that this increase will not deter you in choosing Paws with Mel for your Pup but completely understand if this increase puts me out of your budget.

Well that’s a wrap! The last two dog of 2024, beautiful brothers Jasper and Fonzy.

Thank you so very much for supporting my small business again throughout the year. I’m also blown away by your kindness and generosity with such lovely gifts this Christmas. It is a real privilege to take care of your fur babies.

After a cheeky little lie in this morning due to a last minute cancellation, I have 3 dogs to go. The first of which is Terrific Teddy the Cockapoo.

Last one for the day. The furbulous Frank the Cavapoo.

Number 4 of 5 today. The lovely Luna the shih poo.

Number 3 of 5 today. The gorgeous Griffin the Bichon/Lhasa cross.

Number 2 of todays 5. This gentle giant Woody the Bearded Collie.
