It’s been quite the week so far here at KPHQ but we have managed to get a new Salsa Journeyer built up for shop floor display.

These are one versatile frameset. Compatible with 700 or 650 wheels so you can choose what’s best for your style. Fat for adventure gravel or narrower for smoother riding.

We’ve seen these used from the mountains of Kyrgyzstan to the back streets of Manchester for everything from commuting to getting deep into the hills.

Available as framesets ( with a full carbon fork and more mounts than is probably healthy ) or we can build you something to suit your budget and plans.

This one’s on the shop floor for now with Shimano GRX 1x transmission and a 700c rough road set up.

Come by and check it out!

Plenty of lovely Hope components all over this Large Black Brother Cycles Big Bro.

Jones 2.5” riser Loop H-bars give it a super relaxed commuter / tour / explore vibe.

29er DTSwiss wheels wrapped in Teravail 2.2 Sparwood tyres and 28 x 65mm SKS mudguards to keep the worst off.

Fits like a glove, just right 👌

Ah, we wait a while for a Ogre to leave and then two super rad ones go almost at once.

Upgrade to singlespeed eh?

Just the right amount of purple components against the Orlocks Shadow powder. HG rear hub for future proofing, who knows where the road will take us but we may need gears, or not…
works basket bag in the Old Man Mountain basket, just love this combo, can’t be beat. Just add small panniers for a longer trip.

More Tumbleweed Persuader bars for control and just the right position. Spot the little matchy compact bell.

Brooks Cambium for the long haul, even singlespeeders have to sit down sometimes!

Full Old Man Mountain rack set up with the lightweight basket on top front for easy access to most used items.

More Hope for the headset and bottom bracket running the Middleburn RS8 chainset with a Surly stainless ring.

We fitted Tumbleweed Persuader bars to give a great controlled yet composed and comfortable position, just ace. This one is going to see some action!

This years Fargo colour just pops!

Available right now in xs to XL in just a frameset or shop builds

Triple butted super quality steel frame with a full carbon fork.

Flat mount brake mounts to make it easy to play with modern drop bar groupsets. Boost spacing and still an mtb chainset so very much an expedition, mountain tour, back country racer if you like.

Single speed, hub gear or derailleurs are all available with additional dropouts, even belt drive with the split chainstay- we may be far from the original Fargo but it hasn’t lost its way.

The original drop bar 29er mtb.

We were reading a bit of media referring to the over complication of many things including bike camping.

Is it bike packing? Cycle touring? Not really. In their true form those take a chunk of time which all of us are short of.

What about the S24O?

Sub 24hr Overnight. About as uncomplicated as it can get.

We’ve been a fan of these little mini adventures for ever.

Last night we stuffed a van full of bikes and headed North to Lancaster. Very little in the way of ‘equipment’, just a basket full of stuff at most, it was pretty damn warm after all - we planned to ride till late over the fell, find a tidy patch to roll out our bivvy rolls once it had been dark for a bit. Get a few hours kip and roll on for a few more hours to meet up with more riders from the crew on the coast. Completed a fine loop including some great lanes and a super cafe stop

So, the take away? Roll up your sleep roll, pack an extra layer and get out there for a little social adventuring 😎

We all love an ATB eh?

Sweet Pinecone built up with some Hope components, Shimano 12s Deore and some super fly Worm bars by Magic Components.

Allotment utility, bikepacking, trailblazing, get to work, get to the pub, ride home across the moors, we’ll have a big of everything thanks 😎

Rowdy new Honey Monster yellow paintjob coming soon!

Lost at Sea Blue, Hi Viz Black ( which, ever so slightly confusingly is not at all High Viz ) and this Snow Mold White are the three colours available for the Surly Karate Monkey at the moment.

Not all sizes in all colours but some in a few.

If it’s currently available in a colour you like don’t hesitate, no-one ever regretted a Monkey.
