What does Communities of Practice look like when it comes to digital health?

After working in a lab for years in isolation, Ralph MacKinnon felt that he needed to, in his words, “find his tribe”. After joining the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as paediatrics major trauma service lead, he’s created his own tribe through Out-There HealthTech, a digital platform that supports communities of practice in digital healthcare.

In the latest episode of our Digital Health Research Seminars, Ralph discusses the importance of communities of practice, with a focus on the NHS’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) software, used by many UK hospital trusts as a way to digitise records and connect care.
