As of the first of September, my partner and I became foster carers of a gorgeous little newborn. This is all completely new to us, and more time consuming than we'd imagined. I've an even greater understanding of what an absolute shock to the system it must be to intended parents when they take their babies home for the first time. The sleep deprivation has been insane! Any tips would be greatly welcomed 😴

I'm still available for support in my inbox, I just may take a little while getting back to you x

I had the pleasure of being invited to a round table hosted by the last Tuesday. The discussion centered around altruism in surrogacy and organ donation. As I'm experienced in both, I took part in a panel on lived experience. Today these sketes arrived in my inbox by Jim Rogers. Aren't they incredible?

Fertility challenges aren't just a women's issue.
Whilst general health is important, sexual health is the least talked about and carries a burden of misplaced guilt and shame.

Isn't it about time we ended the stigma?

I never thought I’d be a mother, let alone a surrogate. I'd never been particularly maternal (I'm still not 😂), but when my son was born, everything changed. I had so much unconditional love for him, I knew I wanted to share that love with others who couldn’t carry children themselves.
Becoming a surrogate wasn’t just a decision—it just felt right. Over time, I carried three beautiful girls for two amazing families.

If you're curious about what that journey looked like, I wrote The Surrogacy Guide to answer every question I once had.
