Does your child need a final revision boost for their EDEXCEL GCSE Maths?
Many students lose marks in Paper 2 and 3 — not because they don’t understand the Maths…
But because they struggle to:
❌ Apply methods to unfamiliar questions
❌ Handle multi-step problems
❌ Use the calculator effectively under pressure
These papers require more than just knowledge — they require exam technique.
That’s exactly what this revision day focuses on.
We’ll cover some of the most challenging topics, including:
✔ Non-right angled trigonometry
✔ Simultaneous equations
✔ Algebra in context
✔ Algebraic probability
✔ Functions & iteration
And more importantly, how to apply them in exam conditions.
This is designed to give students a clear, structured boost just before their exams.

Worried your child is running out of time before their GCSE Maths exam?
I hear this from parents every year.
Your child is working hard…
They’re revising more…
But the grades still aren’t where they need to be.
And with exams getting closer, it starts to feel stressful.
But here’s the key thing to understand:
It’s not about doing more revision.
It’s about doing the right kind of revision.
Right now, your child might be:
❌ Revising without a clear plan
❌ Repeating topics they already feel comfortable with
❌ Losing marks on exam technique, not knowledge
That’s where most students get stuck.
What actually moves grades is a clear, structured approach:
✅ Identifying exactly where marks are being lost
✅ Strengthening core understanding
✅ Learning how to apply methods to unfamiliar questions
✅ Practising exam technique under timed conditions
✅ Getting feedback and refining mistakes
That’s exactly what we focus on inside my GCSE Maths Accelerator Programme.
This isn’t about more worksheets.
It’s about a smarter system that builds real confidence and consistent results.
If you want your child to feel prepared, confident, and ready going into their exams — I can help.

Most GCSE Maths students lose marks on questions they should get right.
Not because they don’t understand the topic…
but because of small misconceptions like this.
3.4 hours is not 3 hours 40 minutes.
This small mistake costs marks.
And these are the marks that separate:
👉 Grade 5 from 6
👉 Grade 6 from 7
The frustrating part is…
students often don’t even realise they’re making these errors.
That’s why corrections, not just practice, matter.
📌 Save this so your child doesn’t lose easy marks in their exams.
📩 Message MATHS if your child is dropping marks on questions they should be getting right.

Is your child struggling to revise over Easter?
This is the time when most students say they’ll start properly…
But without structure, it quickly turns into:
❌ A bit of revision here and there
❌ Avoiding the harder topics
❌ No real progress
That’s where they fall behind.
Revision isn’t just about doing past papers.
It’s about using them properly to:
✔ Practise exam technique
✔ Identify weak areas
✔ Fix mistakes — not just spot them
Because mistakes are only useful if they’re corrected properly.
That’s exactly what I help students do.
📌 Save this schedule to give your child structure this Easter.
📩 Message PAST PAPER if they need support turning revision into real progress.

One of the biggest reasons GCSE Maths students lose marks is poor structure — not poor understanding.
I regularly see students who:
✔ Know the method
✔ Get close to the right answer
❌ But lose marks because their working is unclear
To an examiner, messy working looks like guesswork.
Examiners can’t assume what a student meant.
They can only award marks for what is clearly shown.
That’s why top-grade students approach questions differently.
They:
• Break problems down into clear steps
• Lay out their working logically
• Make it easy for the examiner to follow their thinking
Their answers almost read like a story — each step leading clearly to the next.
This is a skill.
And like any skill, it can be taught.
📩 Message MATHS if your child understands the Maths but keeps losing marks on exam technique.
More papers does not equal better grades if mistakes aren’t being addressed properly.

Mock results can feel stressful — but they’re actually one of the most useful tools your child has.
Mocks don’t tell us how clever a student is.
They tell us where marks were lost and why.
The problem is that many students:
❌ Look at the grade
❌ Feel disappointed
❌ Then move straight on to more revision
But the real improvement happens when we slow down and ask:
• What went wrong here?
• Was it understanding, structure, or exam technique?
• What do we need to practise next?
This is why mock analysis is such a key part of progress.
📩 Message MOCKS if you’d like help turning mock results into a clear plan forward.
Does your child freeze in Maths exams - even though they revise and know the methods?
This isn’t an ability problem.
It’s about knowing how to break questions down, decide which method to use and apply it when the question looks unfamiliar.
Those skills can be taught.
📩 Message MATHS if your child is stuck around a Grade 5-6 and freezes in GCSE Maths exam - and I’ll explain how my Accelerator course can help.

Did your child’s mock not go the way you hoped?
Don’t panic — a disappointing mock is not a reflection of their potential.
It’s actually one of the most powerful tools for improvement.
Most students sitting on a Grade 6 aren’t “bad at Maths”.
They’ve just been using the wrong strategy.
Here’s how we turn a mock result into real progress inside my
GCSE Grade 9 Maths Accelerator:
🔎 Assess
We break down the mock to pinpoint the exact topics, habits and mistakes that cost marks — with no guesswork.
📚 Rebuild Core Understanding
We fix shallow knowledge and strengthen fundamentals so your child can confidently attempt questions that look different from the ones they’ve practised.
⚡ Accelerate
We tackle more complex concepts and higher-grade problem-solving using step-by-step modelling, guided practice and question breakdowns — exactly what Grade 8–9 questions demand.
🎯 Refine
This is our “cheat code”: we train your child to think like an examiner — layout, logic, full working, method marks and the decision-making that top-grade students use automatically.
With the right structure, Year 10–11 students stuck on Grade 6–7 frequently jump to 8–9 within 12 weeks.
A mock result is not the end —
it’s the turning point.
📩 Message me “MATHS” to see how we can turn your child’s mock into their breakthrough moment.

Why Online Small-Group Tutoring Works So Well
If you’ve ever wondered why so many students make faster progress in online small-group Maths tutoring than in school or 1:1, here’s the truth:
⭐ It creates the perfect balance of support, accountability, and motivation.
Students feel focused, seen, and encouraged — without the pressure of being put on the spot.
Here’s why it works so well:
1️⃣ Students learn alongside others with the same goals
When your child sees other motivated students aiming for Grades 8–9, it lifts their own standards.
They start believing:
“If they can do it, so can I.”
This builds confidence and healthy competition.

They start believing:

3️⃣ They master the exact skills examiners reward
We focus on:
✔ Showing full working
✔ Structuring solutions logically
✔ Avoiding common mistakes
✔ Tackling higher-level exam questions
These are the skills that turn Grade 6–7 students into confident Grade 8–9 achievers.
4️⃣ Students feel more comfortable asking questions
Many students stay quiet in school because they don’t want to feel embarrassed.
In a small group, they feel safe and heard.
Most end up asking more questions — and understanding far more as a result.
5️⃣ It builds consistency (the real secret to improving Maths grades)
Weekly sessions + targeted homework + accountability = real momentum.
Progress becomes visible, predictable and long-lasting.
Online small-group tutoring isn’t about worksheets or quick fixes —
it’s about giving your child the structure, habits, and exam skills to finally reach their potential.

Are you worried about your child’s progress in GCSE Maths…
but not sure what else you can do to help at home? 🤔
Here are 5 reasons a specialist Maths tutor can make a huge difference:
1️⃣ Personalised attention
In a busy classroom, it’s hard for teachers to give each student detailed, one-to-one support. A tutor can slow things down, explain in different ways and focus on your child’s specific gaps.
2️⃣ Mastering core Maths
A GCSE Maths specialist knows which topics cause the most lost marks and how to rebuild understanding so everything else becomes easier.
3️⃣ Confidence boost
Many students tell me “I’m just bad at Maths”. With regular support and small wins each week, that story changes – and so does their effort.
4️⃣ Better study and exam habits
A tutor can teach your child how to revise efficiently, lay out working clearly and approach exam questions with a strategy, not guesswork.
5️⃣ Support for parents
You don’t have to be an expert in GCSE Maths or the latest exam specs. You can outsource that stress and know your child is getting structured, professional support.
If you’d like your child to feel more confident, more prepared and closer to their target grade, send me a message saying “MATHS” and I’ll share how my Grade 9 Maths Accelerator works.
