Most Ultra Wide Angle lenses suffer from an optical distortion rate from 2-5% which causes straight lines to bend. LAOWA Zero-D lenses are extremely well corrected, they achieve a close-to-zero distortion rate that is truly amazing for such an ultra wide lens.

As the Laowa 12mm T2.9 Zero-D CINE is so compact in its class, it is also great for use with gimbals and stabilisers.

Introducing here at Film Store Rental we now stock the Laowa Proteus Series. This is the latest and the most accessible professional anamorphic series for Super 35 sensors with a 2X constant squeeze ratio.
This set comes in 4 focal lengths (35/45/60/85) and features a universal T2 aperture, delivering excellent image quality and consistent classic anamorphic characteristics including elliptical bokeh and signature blue flares.
It supports close-up shots with a 55cm minimum focusing distance and offers modern conveniences to meet dynamic on-set needs.
With a 2X squeeze ratio, you will have a 2.66:1 on a 4:3 sensor and a 2.4:1 on a 6:5 sensor after de-squeeze. It provides room for cropping to a golden 2.39:1 aspect ratio.

The Proteus is a modern piece of art to deliver a vintage anamorphic look and unique character.

Our new Canon Sumire Primes! A refined set of CN-Es altered to provide a “detuned” and more vintage look. Pronounced Soo-mee-ray and named after the Japanese word for Flower . The flower moniker is in reference to when at maximum aperture, the induced spherical aberration makes the highlights “bloom”

The Sumire primes take the existing CN-E optics and combine less-robust coatings with slightly shifted element spacing to induce minor aberration to the image. Full frame and PL mounted
